I got in trouble as a child for questioning everything in the Christian church. I was just too quizzical and was met with opposition and anger because I was just naturally curious about everything.. me being a naturally hardheaded caused me to want to find the answers I was looking for.. well now I'm here..lol. The two primary teachings of satanism are =
1) man is completely capable in every potential and fit enough to be its own savior (the very folly of Lucifer who became Satan, as he thought he could be as high as God himself (Isaiah 14:12-15) and the same lies Satan told Adam and Eve (Genesis 3:5))
2) you alone are responsible for everything that happens to you (an idea which is a big fat lie even endorsed by greedy corporate and abusive company culprits that's unfair even for those who've never done anything to become victims.

The problem with CoS is that their doctrine is that the spiritual is an illusion which keeps the members from progressing. Being carnal is not the opposite of spiritual. The opposite of spiritual is materialism. In animalistic cultures for instance it's believed that all living beings are in the cycle of reincarnation, so you can both believe in spiritual and accept man's animalistic nature.
The ritual chamber works as an intellectual decompression chamber and it does therefore not only decompress the disbelief but also the values and norms as well. No matter what Satanists believe or don't the group will with their intellect decompressed focus on the worship of Satan in the ritual chamber.

I’m a member of tst . However i do listen to your videos and yes , you make absolute sense . I was originally Catholic and called evil because I am female. Adam and Eve isn’t real but example of symbolism. I was also made fun of for not being the blessed mother which is ridiculous. Well said Brother, but I do slightly disagree with you about the supernatural and spiritual part you. Obviously, Satanism is more scientific and needs proof for those things but sometimes they do appear in our lives and it’s hard to explain concerning reincarnation. None of us know really was going to happen afterwards, so I see where you get that point so irregardless if you believe in reincarnation or not if it happens, it happens if it doesn’t it doesn’t, but it is based on physics where energy cannot be created or destroyed, other than that I love the concept

Hey Doug, I am NOT a representative of The Church of Satan nor am I answering or speaking for Mr. Gilmore here, but as a Satanist myself I can answer your question about congregating, Satanists do not congregate,there is no building where Satanists meet once a week, it is a religion based on individuals,most go through their entire lives without ever meeting another Satanist. Some Satanists will occasionally have a small social gathering with some friends and fellow Satanists,but nothing like mainstream churches that have large gatherings. You do not need a higher being to congregate. It could mean just getting together with people you share values with and that you treasure. Satanism is a religion of indulgence over abstinence, meaning doing things that are pleasing to you. Be it gathering with other likeminded folks, a good book, good music, etc. ritual is a tool that does serve its purpose but is not required, nor is gathering in multitudes. But it is something one can do should you desire to.
