This is really starting to set in for me I'm 21 and instead of college went to a trade school, well I'm graduated and have been working for 2 years now but all my friends moved away for college and are upto different things, some are getting married some are moving to new cities. Some are going through college etc and it's really been hitting that I'm alone now especially since me and my gf of 5 ish years split ways this early this year

@@rubyausberlinn I don’t get the point of it. The original song is amazing (and Surf Curse is already a Surf band which is known for using reverb) so there really is no point. It’s just making the song unnecessarily different and it doesn’t really sound good to me. Like it can to you, enjoy what you will but I don’t get it. When I did like nightcore, I was like ages nine to ten or eleven. I’m fifteen now and I play music on a couple instruments and understand it a lot better. But enjoy what music you like, I feel like this just kinda discredits the band and doesn’t sound good.

I used to listen to this song in the deepest pit of my depression; my worst epsiode lasting for around 4 months. Time was warped, I layed in garbage on top of my bed about was paralyzed with flashbacks of my attempted murder during my childhood. It felt like I died back when I was 8 years old, I am 19 then and still mouring the loss of my mind during that incident. Now I come back to this song with new light. I see the value in life again and have faith in God to plan out the rest of my Journy. There is hope and a light shining upon the life I thought I would never get. Then one day, my PS3 stopped working, and my father didn't had enough money to pay someone to repair, i never saw Lucas again... I feel miserable. Quarantine really fucked me over and rn I’m on shaky grounds with the only friends I had... They had more similar interests and ended up getting closer leaving me outside of the group. They met new people, got boyfriends, went out bunch of times... and I watched the stories they posted on instagram. It’s not that I didn’t try to join but they always had excuses and stories that didn’t add up. I met someone from playstation and I feel the happiest with him. I want to take things a bit further but I’m scared of chasing a hopeless relationship. We live in different countries and are both students. I want to meet new people I want to go out, party, get drunk, watch the moon. All I do now is play games and consume social media 24/7. I’m trying to get out of my comfort zone I really am but it is so hard. Since my first year of uni was online I didn’t meet anyone at all. All the conversations were about school work really and no one seemed interested to talk further. I’m trying to get into apps like discord to find ppl from my country so I can potentially meet up instead of just online. I want to be like my friend. Everyone wants to talk to her, she is beautiful, popular, sociable.... why can’t you just be like her? I want to be in one of those friend groups that hangs out all the time. I want to be someone’s favourite... I want someone beside me, to hug me and say “it’s going to be ok.” I don’t want to feel like I’m wasting my youth

This song reminds me of my suicidal friend. Once he was going through a lot can't tell a lot of them for privacy reasons but anyways one we went outside to play he seemed happy but in a different way anyways then he wanted to go home so we went with him so he wasn't alone it was really late, then all of my friend went home and I was alone so I stood outside a bit then I saw my friend running outside with a rope.... But I managed to outrun him and catch him. God dammit life is hard but suicide is never an option

I started listening to this when I was at the darkest point of my life in 2020 and almost 3 years later im coming back to this song. I can't say I've gotten so much better, but looking back I know that I definitely made progress. And returning to this song (especially the doomer version) is like nostalgia but only the worst kind of nostalgia....I just find it crazy how nostalgic a song can get over only 3 years
2020 was a terrible time for both me and everyone else saturated with isolation and loneliness but the worst part about it was the online classes which enraged me to the point of hate filled tears but this song was always here for me through the lowest lows and the highest highs

Exactly one year ago I went into a severe depression and found myself listening to songs like this and I was really trying to commit suicide. Now I'm better. My friends who are unhappy, do not be sad, of course you will experience spring one day, do not give up.

I don’t get the point of it. The original song is amazing (and Surf Curse is already a Surf band which is known for using reverb) so there really is no point. It’s just making the song unnecessarily different and it doesn’t really sound good to me. Like it can to you, enjoy what you will but I don’t get it. When I did like nightcore, I was like ages nine to ten or eleven. I’m fifteen now and I play music on a couple instruments and understand it a lot better. But enjoy what music you like, I feel like this just kinda discredits the band and doesn’t sound good.

I used to listen to this song in the deepest pit of my depression; my worst epsiode lasting for around 4 months. Time was warped, I layed in garbage on top of my bed about was paralyzed with flashbacks of my attempted murder during my childhood. It felt like I died back when I was 8 years old, I am 19 then and still mouring the loss of my mind during that incident. Now I come back to this song with new light. I see the value in life again and have faith in God to plan out the rest of my Journy. There is hope and a light shining upon the life I thought I would never get. I feel miserable. Quarantine really fucked me over and rn I’m on shaky grounds with the only friends I had... They had more similar interests and ended up getting closer leaving me outside of the group. They met new people, got boyfriends, went out bunch of times... and I watched the stories they posted on instagram. It’s not that I didn’t try to join but they always had excuses and stories that didn’t add up. I met someone from playstation and I feel the happiest with him. I want to take things a bit further but I’m scared of chasing a hopeless relationship. We live in different countries and are both students. I want to meet new people I want to go out, party, get drunk, watch the moon. All I do now is play games and consume social media 24/7. I’m trying to get out of my comfort zone I really am but it is so hard. Since my first year of uni was online I didn’t meet anyone at all. All the conversations were about school work really and no one seemed interested to talk further. I’m trying to get into apps like discord to find ppl from my country so I can potentially meet up instead of just online. I want to be like my friend. Everyone wants to talk to her, she is beautiful, popular, sociable.... why can’t you just be like her? I want to be in one of those friend groups that hangs out all the time. I want to be someone’s favourite... I want someone beside me, to hug me and say “it’s going to be ok.” I don’t want to feel like I’m wasting my youth

Once he was going through a lot can't tell a lot of them for privacy reasons but anyways one we went outside to play he seemed happy but in a different way anyways then he wanted to go home so we went with him so he wasn't alone it was really late, then all of my friend went home and I was alone so I stood outside a bit then I saw my friend running outside with a rope.... I started listening to this when I was at the darkest point of my life in 2020 and almost 3 years later im coming back to this song. I can't say I've gotten so much better, but looking back I know that I definitely made progress. And returning to this song (especially the doomer version) is like nostalgia but only the worst kind of nostalgia....I just find it crazy how nostalgic a song can get over only 3 years

I don't view sadness as bad anymore. It's just normal now, almost comforting. If I ever feel "happy" I know it's only temporary. When I'm "happy" I feel really uncomfortable, but not in a good uncomfortable. It just feels unatural to be happy. So when I feel sad, I'm comfortable?

Marking this mainly for myself....today has been a shitty day. I had to watch my mom suffer her losses, I had to put down some old childhood pets, and I had to grieve the loss of a very very great friend. We all come here for a reason, but I can't seem to succeed in mine. Life sucks right now and I might just have no more care for passion anymore. I got nothing left to fight for other than myself and try to grow my life...But if you're reading this and falling down the same path. Trust in yourself, even though I can't do the same for me anymore. Do better than what I can do. Remember that if you're having it harsh, so is everybody, but you can push forward from where I've given up. Have a good one
