Aayirathil Oruvan is a gem. It had its faults but it is a film to be celebrated. Whenever people talk about Bahubali and how it brings Indian stories to the forefront I want to tell them to watch this movie. I hope there is some good producer to put their might and money behind a sequel.

Agreed. There were a lot of Tamil people who themselves couldn't for example connect to the language in the second half.
But I think we have come to a stage where people are more receptive to nuances and details in content. So it gives more opportunity for movies like this to be accepted more widely even with people from other language backgrounds. So this is the time when we can suggest this movie to others to go back to as well.
Though Mr. Selvaraghavan didn't agree, the film was in a sense ahead of its times.

Selvaraghavan sir is mass and my favorite padam of all time was #Pudhupettai and can't wait to see #NGK My favorite part of this interview was Selvaraghavan writes his own screenplay and lyrics, with his team, talkind about that unique behind the head shot scene of the don(Dhanush) in #Pudhupettai and more also he does not use digital effects. Great interviews keep them coming!
Selvaraghavans films always have a colour tone that enhances the whole experience but in NGK it feels flat and generic. The latest trailer didn’t have great music and acting seemed bad especially the mom character. I don’t think it’s going to be a good movie , if May have had a great storyline but I think it may have failed in execution and may not have been Selva’s fault. I think there are problems because people couldn’t work as a team and collaborate.
