- Pinarello decided to develop a mountain bike for the mountain bikers of the Ineos Grenadier Team in 2022. Just one year later, Tom Pidcock and Ferrand Prevot both won the 2023 World Championship title in Glasgow with the first models. Ferrand Prevot with the Dogma XC hardtail version and Tom Pidcock with the Dogma XC FS full-suspension version. We were allowed to disassemble and reassemble Tom Pidcock's world championship bike in our workshop and were able to take a close look at all the details. Information on how expensive the frames / bikes are or if and when the bikes will be for sale to the public was not yet available to us at the time of publication.
On the bike, we were able to take a close look at the brand new electronically lockable TACT suspension from SR Suntour for the first time. You can find the list of all the parts and weights here below and in the video. Have fun watching.

Pinarello entschied sich in 2022 für die Mountainbikefahrer des Teams Ineos Grenadier Team ein Mountainbike zu entwickeln. Bereits ein Jahr später konnten Tom Pidcock und Ferrand Prevot beide mit den ersten Modellen in Glasgow den Weltmeistertitel 2023 holen. Ferrand Prevot mit der Hardtailvariante Dogma XC und Tom Pidcock mit der Fullsuspension Variante Dogma XC FS. Wir durften das WM Bike von Tom Pidcock in unserer Werkstatt in seine Einzelteile zerlegen und wieder zusammenbauen und konnten so einen genauen Blick auf all die Details werfen. Informationen, wie teuer die Rahmen / Räder sind bzw. ob und wann die Räder für die Öffentlichkeit zum Verkauf stehen lagen uns bei Veröffentlichung noch nicht vor.
Am Rad konnten wir zum ersten mal einen genauen Blick auf das brandneue elektronisch blockierbare Fahrwerk TACT von SR Suntour werfen. Die Liste mit allen verbauten Teilen und den Gewichten findet ihr hier unten und im Video. Viel Spaß beim anschauen. - กีฬา

Bike looks fantastic but not sure I’d trust the rear suspension being bolted into what looked like bottle cage mount holes on top tube just looks like they forgot to design a proper place to bolt to
It's still early stages and the bike is a prototype. This way it's easier to mill a different shock mount to play around with the kinematics without having to build a new mold. It's the same with the SR Suntour suspension, the little Box that holds the battery and the electronics was 3d printed. It might well be that they decide on a carbon shock mount in the final version, for now the two m6 bolts are doing the job and brought home the world championship ;)

Sì, esattamente. Purtroppo non avevamo lo stesso latte sigillante del team Ineos e volevamo risparmiargli il lavoro se volevano usare il loro.

yes, it's definitely on the heavier side, one big reason is probably the extra triangle at the bottom bracket but also the fact that it's still a prototype. You don't really want to take any chances at the world champs when the current olympic winner is in the run for the podium

Was sind das für Prototypen von Conti? Sehen fur XC Race eher grob aus.
Das sind Schlammreifen daher auch der schmale Aufbau.

What would an average bike shop roughly charge in labor for a build like this from a master mechanic.?
kinda hard to say, often you get the labor for free with the new bike when you buy a new one. In this case more than fair since the bike would probably cost around 12-14k €/$
In a normal workshop you pay by the hour( around 100$/h). Only the build took us about 4h and we only needed a little grease, carbon paste and mineral oil to give you a reference

Dein Simplon hat auch kein elektronisches Fahrwerk ;) Aber ja, da hast du natürlich Recht - superleicht ist es nicht. Wir sind gespannt auf die Serienmodelle und vielleicht auch nur in schwarz. Beim Lack ließe sich da auch schon einiges sparen, für den Weltmeister ist das halt keine Option
Ganz schön schwer, bzw. schwerer als erwartet.
Ja spannend wird es sicher wenn die Serien Rahmen kommen. Das Bike ist ja aktuell noch ein Prototyp. Die Lackierung ist sicher auch noch recht schwer mit dem weißen Lack

The Frame is still a prototype and it's hard to say what the final weight will be.
We didn't have the same sealant as the Ineos Team and wanted to safe them the trouble of cleaning the tires if they want to use something different.
