My old haunts ! 38 years in the NT you get to know the culverts ! Lived at the end of gravel rd first left over the Elizabeth River bridge. From Coomarlie Creek on the HWY to the famous South Alligator drain they are all good spots for a wet season fish. Fish are commonly right at your feet off the edge of the road. Bucktail jigs work well ! Just as the water drops to road level best time. Once saw a 10lb barra crossing the Stuart Hwy culvert just south of Hayes Creek in 4inches of water ! Wish I had a landing net ! Huge amount of culverts and creek crossings within 50ks of Darwin are worth a try and don't be put off if its only a few feet wide. Makes for a more comfortable day in the car driving around on a wet day than getting pissed on in a boat !😎👍
