I have often heard this story discussed, but I have never read it. Today is the first time i heard it. It is quite a gem and is extremely well-written. These old authors are fantastic, and their stories are amazing.
Thanks for narrating this and sharing it with us!

Wonderful story, I've traveled with worse though.
Your voice got my housemate's attention, she thought you were Vincent Price for a minute and asked about your channel. Still working on it, but I think I have her convivced to actually try YT (she's elderly and tech is beyond her) as this is right up her alley but she is set in her ways. Wish me luck!

Great read Ian ! You know somewhere someone will write a phantom Uber or Lyft story sim to this, it's inevitable. I'm equally sure someone will write one including the infamous Clinton Road of northern NJ, like northern England it's much more rural and has some very funky stuff, the well known Phantom Car and Phantom Truck on that road are fickle things, I've encountered the car several times while doing designated driver work, pre Uber days, many ppl won't drive that road at night, some not even at day, but 7 out of 10 times no encounters, deer and the occasional black bear a bigger risk, heavy fog even more so, but a good tune or tape (back then) would get one from one end to the other and back to the highway. If you're ever interested in this you have my e-addy. Best to all at HB.
