- Muhammad Ali (nickname Mandda) is an ex-resident of village Chakar, tehsil Jagraon, district Ludhiana. He is a member of the most affective Kumhar family. The family faced bitter experience during partition & migration toward Pakistan. They forcefully expelled from their village, after an attack. Mony of family members lost their lives and many girls kidnapped.
The Story of Bibi Hazra of Chakra Pind (Hajra Bibi now Gurdev Kaur Sandhu) is a member of same Kumhar family of village Chak, Jagraon, Ludhiana.
Chakar is a village in the Jagraon tehsil of Ludhiana district in Indian Punjab. It is located on the Guru Gobind Singh Marg. The sixth Sikh guru, Guru Hargobind Sahib visited this place in 1631 during his tour of Malwa region and the tenth master, Guru Gobind Singh in 1705 after the battle of Chamkaur Sahib.

Boundries touching to chakar are Lakha, Hathur, Rama, Kussa, Minia, Lopon, Malah, Manuke. Chakar is about 5 kilometer SouthWest sidhu from Gurdwara Mehdeana Sahib. Chakar has 7 story Gurdwara Shaib, 6th Sikh Guru Ji and 10th Sikh Guru ji visited Chakar. Chakar Still has 2 Kila Darbaja in left from 3 Kila Darbaja. Chakar has 4 patti and many Private and Govt. Schools. There is a English man Kothi still at North part of the villege right next to a irrigation ditch. Phd Doctor Bhag Singh Sidhu was from Chakar and livid in USA Winston Salem North Carolina. Principal Sarwan Singh Sandhu is also from Chakar. This village is blessed with worlds top athletes today since Dr. Bhag Singh Sidhu stated his 26 mile marathon and disk throw in 1952. Reality is the way Bibi Hajra/Gurdev said; she was born in that family (Aloo) but her fate was written somewhere else - that’s the reality of the matter and that is beyond any control. All the should, could or would have seemed so insignificant because fate is what we live with and we all go through the trials of life and some, unfortunately, face more trials than anyone else.
Bibi Hajra/Gurdev is so wonderful woman and brave beyond certainly my imagination. I think she is like her mother who was incredibly brave to actually go back several times to find her daughter for months in a place where she lost a lot. It must have taken a great amount of courage to witness that place again just find her daughter, only a mother can do this. I can almost feel the pain now the way she might have wandered the streets of that place in a hope that she might find her daughter. How many people she might have spoken to and where she had stayed and how she has eaten food and how she might have treated, these are just some painful questions that are arising in my mind. It's so painful to be able to just put myself in her position. May Allah, please give her greatest place in heaven after what she has been gone through and also many other people like her may they all live in peace in heaven.
I have to accept that Bibi Hajra/Gurdev is a great woman, the way she accepted the new reality seems so incredible though but she did it with utmost courage and grace. Letting go trauma is the most painful thing one can and she seems to do it gracefully and gave a wonderful life to her children. She is right at that time survival seemed to be the most important thing and she went with her future husband and he looked after and loved her exactly the way her family might have done. Her husband was a God sent and was meant to be part of her fate. We might see it differently and can easily pass comment on that part of the video but we got to accept the reality and need to find the great act of humanity in this example. The entire family suffered but that didn’t stop her to achieve a great life for her self and her family. She really is a great woman as I would repeat again that she is just like her mother. Her comments are as true as they can get and one might disagree with her but I am so proud that she stood by her views and ideology and that needs respect.
I just wish the future ties between India and Pakistan could become better and surely examples or mistakes like this should not be repeated again and again. Only humanity loses in a war and that such a loss. Hatred yields nothing positive but barriers and it kills humanity, so why hate when we are the one who pays the most price for it? If a person feels happy to see the agony of another human being then it just says that we are not human yet.
I appreciate the fact that there is a lot of positivity coming from such videos between the two countries certainly between two Punjabs. Let us keep it this way.

This will forever be a stain on the sikh community. 2 wrongs don’t make a right. Those were our brothers and sisters who never wud have thought that we wud turn on them. I hope those Muslim families who were devestated by our actions cud find it in their hearts to forgive us. We will see our day of judgement. Look what the Indian government in return did to us. We deserved it!
