Great system! Lot of fond memories and nostalgia here.
A few on your list are part of my top7. Midwinter, Dungeon Master, Phantasie III, (Sundog), (Carrier Command), (Starfleet 1), (Ultima 5)
Tho, your list had some I played many hours with back then, like GunShip, PowerMonger and Lemmings.
Also Kudos for Phantasie 3 music at the end. Too bad the Steem release of the Phantasie series around january 2024 sucked. I had hoped we'd get at least the Bard's take trilogy treatment with the AtariST graphics/sounds.
Good memories of the AtariST, it's quietly sleeping in my garage nowadays as I can play everything with emulation.
Thanks for the vid !
Thank you very much for the comment!
I love the music in Phantasie III, glad to see I'm not the only one!
I never had an St, those are some great games with fine graphics...
You missed Captive, a game which appeared late in the ST lifespan. Fantastic game, spent so much time on it (like IK+). It's like dungeon master but in a futuristic universe (and with fast replay routines). You NEED to use the keyboard and mouse at the same time to survive at later stages (and save often). You are the master of 4 droids controlling them at a distance with a communication suitcase.
At the start of a game, you land the 4 droids on a planet, enter a maze, explore the maze, find the electric generators and make the maze explode (put dynamite in the room with the generators). You must be quick and have good knowledge of the maze when the dynamite is activated to get out of it before it explodes ! (it's funny when this happens).
You can upgrade your droids by buying new equipment at some shops in the maze. Some equipment is defensive (armours and such), some is offensive (all sorts of weapons). You can buy mines to put on the ground to setup traps for the monsters in the maze. You can have antigravity for your droids for them to avoid fire places, water (damages your droid) but also to be able to shoot at monsters (some monsters are higher than the droids). This game is in my TOP3 for the ST.
You're right, I totally forgot Captive!
Speedball 2, Lemmings, Sim City and North & South were some of my all time favourite games.
A few others (okay, a lot of others) that I'd add:
Batman the Movie
Cannon Fodder
Continental Circus - Similar to Zoom.
Formula One Grand Prix (Geoff Crammond) - My favourite 3D racing game by a long way.
Frontier: Elite 2
James Pond - Robocod
Llamatron
Lotus Espirt Turbo Challenge (1/2/3)
Obsession - STE only pinball game
Rainbow Islands
Robocop 3
Sensible Soccer
Super Cars 2 - probably the best top down racing game
Utopos - A multiplayer (local or networked via MIDI) Thrust/Oids type game for the STE
Venus the Fly Trap
Zool
I'm sure I could get you over the 100 mark if my memory was better.
I also played a lot of Speedball 2, Lemmings, SimCity and North & South, great games!
good video ! though no Carrier Command, no Starglider 2, no Epic, is hard to understand
Wonderful video its like Im 4 again waiting for my dad to finish work so we can play video games. We had the STE but my friend had the STFM model (More powerful I assume?).
Im amazed by the creativity shown in these games. Its amazing what can be achieved when you have limited graphics to work with. Saying that our standards were much lower back then.
Thank you so much!
Yes I agree, the games were amazing.
In fact, the ST-E was more powerful than the ST- FM ;-)
Vrooom was my favourite ST game, final fight was a close 2nd
Mon premier dungeon crawler. Ce jeu est une Légende ! )
2. Defender of the Crown
3. Iron Lord
4. Explora II
5. Le Manoir de Mortevielle
6. Barbarian
7. Barbarian II
8. Weird Dreams
Merci! Je ne connais pas, je vais regarder!
@@Kawet_ORB oh tu connais pas Goldrunner ? Regarde vite alors, j' ai joué des heures 😀
I didn't know that the Zak Mackracken game had those scenes where Zak is on top of the Sphinx or the explanation of the cutscenes with the Caponians. How can I find these scenes elsewhere?
The scenes come from a demo of the game!

Good compilation, but Carrier Command is missing.
Never Heard of joan od arc game looks cool panza also loooks awesome
Both are great, I played them a lot. Panza is a little repetitive but Joan of Arc can be played without getting bored
What is the name of game that show after puzzle? To need to make lines.

23:04 LOL
used the same crap ym poky chip as amstrad cpc
Haha 🤣😂
I suppose you had the tinny, weird sampled guitar sounding Amiga. 😂
It's funny how so many Amiga games had worse graphics than their potential because they'd just make the ST version, then port the graphics directly over to the Amiga version
Yes, that's how business worked back then. Amiga didn't sell enough those early years because it was expensive and C64 owners were slow to upgrade.
Can someone know why Prince of Persia looks so good on Atari, and on Amiga and Pc like shi... Did they gave the PERSIAN prince blond hair because of some rasist reasons?
I don't know about the graphics! But I asked myself this question for a lot of games
Atari= spectrum 512 k
Sure sir, 5x faster CPU and much more colors is same :-)
I had a ZX Spectrum 48k and then an Atari 520ST. The 16 bit computer was a huge leap over the Speccy.
