- Our final vlog of our Scottish fun fair vlogs is from Troon in Ayrshire
Another new ground as we visit Scotland for the third time this year as we track down new rides for us to try out!
This ground is a Fun Time Carnivals fun fair and was our first time doing this group as a whole. We have done their Twist before at Liverpool Ice Festival in 2021. It's another new Waltzer though and this time a 3 hill. They also have a extreme Freak Out, 2 fun houses, many juveniles and of course....VIVA MEXICOOOOO!
Thia fair ends 7th August and opens from 12 noon. Entry is £1 and rides are from 2 tokens to 3. Tokens are £1 each when you buy their bundles. Located on Troon Barassie Beach, Scotland.
Please note we use specific equipment to film on rides. We strongly suggest that you don't use your phone on rides.

I use to work on one of Stringfellows old rides, the Down Hill Racer Speedway (Maxwell 2 hill), long gone now sadly, worked on it when it was at a museum in Norfolk.

Hi Paul enjoyed your video, Theo's very funny! to watch, can I just ask?, how do you know whether the rides are safe to do or not?.I remember going to Brighton to visit my brother and wanted to go to the fairground rides, but my brother said they had a bad reputation for breaking down and accidents, so how do you find out whether they're safe or not?.
@@margcollins7961 When it comes to safety, it helps to use a little logic and common sense. In order to operate, rides need to be independently checked and certified. Also, as it’s their livelihood, it’s in any showman’s interest to keep their kit in good condition. As such, incidents relating to mechanical malfunction are super rare. More problematic are attractions where members of the public are free to behave foolishly, thus risking the safety of others. Inflatables (castles, slides, etc) seem to be the main problem here, but there’s obviously scope for such issues on dodgems and tagadas, also. So, if you see that people are behaving badly, maybe skip these until later. Finally…it’s very common for people to say “rides are dangerous” when they’re afraid to admit that they’re just scared of the experience. It’s like they think they’ll save face by saying it’s dangerous, rather than appear chicken for not wanting to ride. From the last stats I saw, riding a fairground ride was considerably safer than going on a car journey…so, maybe that helps to get things in proportion.

@@margcollins7961 someone has already answers it, but yes all rides are completely safe. Anything you do comes with a risk- Crossing a road even comes at a risk. Accidents do happen, but accidents happen everywhere. Hope that helps

Another good vlog guys.. Irvin always has good looking kit definetely the best looking twist in the UK. The waltzer was bought from an english showman this is Irvins second season with it.
(The Extreme Ice Blast & Ice Palace were in Liverpool with the Twist at winter).
It didnt even click with the whole Liverpool winter wonderland. We did do the twist too
