Thank you sew much for teaching this old quilter a new trick with a new feet!! I have definitely stayed away from curved pieces. But with that foot I think I’m going to start a new quilt. Thank you Sir! And thank you for your service! 🇺🇸

I’m so amazed and impressed with you always standing to sew. I’ve been sewing over fifty years and usually only stand when helping or teaching. Your quilt is absolutely beautiful! I understand foundation piecing but never done any. This has inspired me to make one. THANK YOU for all of your service not only for our country but for the individuals!

I saw the live video of y'all's opening day!! It was FANTASTIC!! I cannot WAIT to see you sewing with the new Bernina!! It'll take you a bit to get used to it, probably. But I can see you staying up all hours learning it!! LOL That would be ME!!🤣🤣
This quilt is absolutely GORGEOUS!! Right NOW it's above my hairspray BUT I'm starting a class/BOM next month for the Rainbow Stars quilt. We'll meet once a month for 12 months and it'll be my first time paper piecing, which is why I'm taking the class! The quilt will be 90x90! I'm very excited to be learning a new skill and creating something beautiful with a group of other quilters making friends!
On another note, I tell you it's been hard on us the last few days with Afghanistan. We lost a son because of it(he died of PTSD) and now look. How are you dealing with it, to try to keep your chin up through this? I could use a word of encouragement.

Hello! I just discovered your channel thanks to my weird TH-cam feed. When I saw the channel name, I thought "Oh he is using it to deal with PTSD" and then I read your about section. I want to say how happy I am for you that you found a creative outlet to help with your healing process.
I can't wait to watch all of your videos as someone who self taught myself how to quilt as well! Though I've never actually finished one.. My grandma would be so proud and ashamed. 😂

Wow you make that look so easy. I've seen a couple quilts you made this way and thought there's no way I'll ever be able to do that. But after watching you I'm thinking maybe.

My Mom was in WWII and came back to Yonkers, NY from Germany etc with Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome bad. My grandmother said she was a changed person. She suffered mentally and began drinking. It was very bad for years. She had two daughters and then a set of twins all 18 months apart which was not good for her body. She became suicidal besides her drinking and succeeded in suicide at 41 years old. Very sad. I wish she had some organization to help her in those days. Our family was split up due to her problems.
I am so glad you have dealt with your PTSS although it may not have been as bad as hers. You conquered your fears.
Your quilting is fantastic and you will be showing your quilts in Houston in your future I bet.

Mark I love the how the white fabric and the background fabric both pop! Great fabric choices!
I stink at curves too. Actually I stink at piecing in general. But that’s what is so wonderful about about Quilting. It’s so forgiving!
Are you planning to quilt that on your new sewing machine? We can zoom sometime if you want some direct assistance. I’m sure we can iron out some time. We’re in the same time zone so that helps. Because the fabric is so busy your quilting won’t be apparent and might be a great stepping off point! I’d love to help you!

So gorgeous... fantastic colour matching for stunning contrasts!! (Just a question though: I thought the book author Cinzia White says to add a 1/4" seam allowance to the outer edges of the pattern pieces so you don't lose your points? On page 9 of her book... It doesn't look like you did that with the paper pieced arc, but then again, it doesn't look like you lost any points, so I'm a bit confused). So happy for you with the new machine and extra gifts from the Sew Yeah Guys!!
