"Never thought so many people would be interested in dogfights." What you give in your videos is so much more than just a dogfight. It's commentary, education, entertainment, and a great deal more. And your delivery is humble, accessible, and pleasant. It's always interesting, and always entertaining. You're a talented sim pilot, who wins a lot, but not always. But when you win, you tell us how and why. When you lose, you tell us how and why. We're not just here for the dogfights. We're here to see YOU. Keep it up!
I just gotta say I really appreciate your commitment to the community. Much appreciated from me personally. I don’t think people realize the amount of time it takes to become a “pro” in DCS. Thank you
@Growling Sidewinder Honestly, you could probably be an actual military sim instructor at this point. I dont think you need a degree either, a few of the old warrant officer pilots became sim instructors. If you were interested in doing it as a career, might be worth showing your channel to some actual military pilots, and do some research on that career.
One of my favorite things about the Eagle is that you can pretty much instantly yank the nose up 30 degrees whenever you want If you yank the stick back in the Viper it'll take its own sweet time pitching up and then give up if you get too slow, and the Tomcat will either shake and scream at you or decide that it doesn't want its wings anymore. But the Eagle? Whether you're at 1000kts or 100kts you'll find the nose 30 degrees higher in a matter of miliseconds.
GS has the uncanny ability to talk and explain the basics of air combat manuevering, weaponry and weapons systems to the layman in a very accessible way. He's the reason I now have a Mig-29 on backorder from some ex Soviet Satellite state. They had a couple on firesale. Wish me luck guys.
GS's skills is so well shown not just because he wins a lot, but he has the capacity to explain everything from the fight, to aircraft history while winning
I think imo the F-15C is a bit overrated, I don’t understand why America really thought it was a good idea to make the “tomcats successor” not have air to ground/ multi role capability and only good BVR and not necessarily dogfight capability, I mean I understand why after they followed up with the YF-16 (F-16) and YF-17 (F/A-18) rather than this to be completely honest. I can most DEFINITELY understand the strike eagle but just the eagle? Idk why they thought it was good. Although it has around roughly 0 deaths and 100 kills so they could say it’s the “best” fighter, but I argue it’s the most “successful” fighter in terms of combat. Obviously commercially successful would be the F-16.
Amazing insights you give during the fights, you make the situations much more easy to see now, and even watching your videos for years, I still find some new things to learn, keep it up!!!

GS, it’s not so much the dogfights people are interested in, we can watch dogfights on many other channels. It’s the education you provide. You put on clinics of how to dogfight in ways people can understand. That’s the difference. And yeah, watching you shoot people in the face or cut aircraft in half is fun, as are the times you get caught and *splatted* out of nowhere. Hey GS, I am just starting DCS and was wondering what to pick between the Hornet and Viper as a beginner
I went with the F16 personally because it's my favourite plane, but I think the F18 would have been the better starter plane. The F18 is more forgiving to fly at slow speed and easier to learn BFM. You also have the advantage of being able to do carrier operations!
The Hornet was one I started out on pretty easy to learn and very forgiving would highly suggest the Viper as a second to the Hornet.
GS has said before that the Hornet is hos recommendation for your first plane. The AOA makes it a forgiving jet to dogfight in. It is also capable of multi-role use, so SEAD, etc.
I went with the viper and personally find it more fun but honestly just pick your favourite plane out of all of the dcs modules if you enjoy it you will spend the time to learn it
The Hornet is an easier to learn aircraft, it’s cockpit is very user friendly as well
I think we'll call this a lesson rather than a fight. You were clearly in 2nd gear the whole time and still took care of that Flanker no problems
Great video! Do you use VR or a head tracker in these videos?
This seems perfectly set up for the fc3 bundle
