Thanks Piet! Always interesting to see what is happening on your dairy farm. Never a dull moment by the looks of it.👍

Great video, thanks for putting it together. What is the necessity for a truck scale?

We will use the scale to weigh purchased silage, earlage and hay and to weigh solid manure being sold.

I guess you are part owner of the farm ?and what is your role do you manage more the dairy or my crop side of things

Yes, I am part owner. I'm involved in most things on the farm. My main job is to keep everything working like it should.

i always wondered which side of tarp those very big silos do use but i did imagine you guys use several strips of a bigger size, how wide are they?

    • @pietvanbedaf-nddairyfarmer9047

The tarps we use are 105'x 200', that size matches our silage pile. For these smaller piles we cut it in half to 105'x 100'.

Your'e lucky there is little wind. A pile that big can take fifty people to get covered properly.

How many cows are you milking right now?

When your new mower broke down did you fly into a rage? Start throwing wrenches, and cursing?
    You always seem rather calm

I didn't throw any wrenches haha. It is frustrating when a new piece of equipment has multiple break downs.
