What do you think about the hidden occult symbols and themes in Nosferatu? Did you notice any intriguing details we might have missed? Share your thoughts and let’s discuss the mysteries of this timeless classic!
I think, if i was presented with a document I was supposed to sign and it was writ using entirely occult symbols instead of letters, I would probably have excused myself from signing it, citing both my professional ethics as a solicitor as well as simple, plain common sense in refusing to vslidate a documnet I cannot read with my signiture. In fact, if I had been Thomas, the film probably would have ended with Herr Knock firing me for refusing to even take the assignmemnt of travelling to Orlok to obatin _his_ signature. But then, I don't know. He is doing it out of love and concern for his wife even if she's actually the last person wanting him to go. For sure, though - if I had been Thomas, at some point along the way I would be burning all my Lovecraft books!
To add, I noticed in this film, we are given mentions to occult academia like Agrippa, Paracelsus, Dante, Solomon, Sigillum Dei Æmeth, Abramelin, as well as historically-accurate Romani & Carpathian folk magic rituals, nods to the story of Persephone & her kidnapping by Hades, nods to the earliest recorded idea of a vampiric monstrosity--the Mesopotamian LAMASHTU who kills mothers, newborns & causes miscarriage. We also have mentions of infamous fixtures such as the demon of lust ASMODAY who created offspring by fornicating with women as well as killing the husbands of a maiden named Sarah in the Testament of Solomon. Nods to the demon BAEL who is associated with cats (who played a role in the superstitions of Western European fears of witchcraft & plague) and lastly, nods to the horseman of death & plague--BEEZLEBUB, who was the first to be associated with spreading death & evil through the influence of witches & witchcraft in 17th century Europe.

There are those who walk between two planes. They are the seer who when looking see much more than most. They see into the ether to look something ancient, the wisdom that transcends time. To look into the soul of forgotten knowledge.
The fact that the Grau followers dug up Murnau's skull makes these accusations 100% legit real in my opinion & makes the original film just seem that much more scary & mysterious!!!!! Its crazy how all the sets & locations from all Dracula films ever made are all literally destroyed & no longer exist except for Nosferatu of all films even after a hundred years later , they look exactly the same & the film being made by OG cult members & cult leaders explains why none of them locations were ever torn down or removed over the century because they wouldn't allow it because they had other reasons for making the film to begin with!!!!! Ive heard other strange cases & stories of this films sets & locations having being linked to the occult over the years!!!!! Like his castle & Carfax Abby locations having hidden rituals done there back in the 1920's & even decades later !!!!! Real creepy stuff y'all 😬
Those are all great details you’ve put out in this comment and to a certain extent I regret not putting them in the video. Thanks a lot for watching and commenting!
@@TalesByThe-Fire idk man, I have a hard time with creators using AI. As someone who has a small channel I’m building (not this acct), where I do the videography, the editing, write and record the music etc, it doesn’t sit well with me that humanity is using AI in the most low-effort way possible: to take the job of making art away from humans. I get the whole “but librarians hated the internet too” argument, but this use of AI is different than all the past automations, because it is DESIGNING ART that appears more and more “human made” with each passing month. I also get the whole “but knowing the prompts to input into midjourney is an art form in itself,” but the thing is it won’t always be like that. In a few years, corporations will have armies of fully independently generative AI, creating income streams with no effort, and diluting what we call art until it’s indistinguishable whether a real human made something with love, or a corporate AI shat it out. Even if you’re just using AI for the actual text to speech, why not just hire a voice actor on fiverr? Also I’m betting you also use help from chatGPT with “crafting those stories”….right? But we can agree to disagree about AI.
I was tipped off when I saw that whack AI hexagram. Definitely leaves a bad taste... but good thing most people have been dumbed down so much to not even notice or care.
The simple fact that you used AI generated symbols instead of using actual grimoire pages (the old ones are public domain anyway) puts me off. AI might be ok for some scenery etc, but occult symbolism has to be meaningful. I stopped watching at 0:16
The AI in this is a real turn off. Is the voice AI generated as well? The script? I notice some patterns in the phrases that just scream of AI. I appreciate the subject matter of this and your other videos... I hope you take the feedback constructively. It'd be good to have people create genuine essays around these topics.
Sure! Any feedback is more than welcome. On educational material I would look around the internet and dig for interesting trivia and information. There’s a lot I didn’t add to the video to keep it short, but for an example the topic about blood and what it means in the esoteric world could be a separate video entirely. Im writing the scripts and changing the structure to find what works best for me, but still haven’t gone as far as to sit and write a completely self made story, but in time I might do that as I have some professional experience in story telling although not as close to what this channel is shaping as. Thanks for watching, but more than that, thanks for sharing your opinion.
@@ObsidianHistory Crowley isn't the sole representative for the occult. He is one major influence in modern occultism but the occult is a vast, niche, obscure and sometimes ancient or folk/traditional magical practice, study and philosophy. Ufology can be part of it but most ufologists and occultists tend to seperate the two fields of study. Occultists would focus more on parapsychology than ufology & government conspiracy. Many ufologists are secular and do not see occult study as relevant to their work. Many occultists do not approach preternatural phenemonenon like a ufologist does and typically sees aliens as a broad term to mean any kind of supernatural, psychological or philosphical fixture. Ufologists & those adjacent tend to focus solely on literal UAPs, military operations, astronomy, and extraterrestrials in the most literal way.
Cinema is awash in occult and new age theology. Some say we are being desensitized. I say, we have been for decades now. We have gone from wholesome entertainment to "if there's no gay character, you're a bigot" in the blink of an eye.
@@OrthoLou I don't think representation is bad in cinema when it's done in a cohesive way. People have prejudice against certain people. When trans actors play characters that are not trans, people still complain. The issue is not the casting or characters. It is audiences who dislike seeing people they do not accept on their screens... I am trans and have been acting on stage for 17 years. 14 of those years as a trans person. Nobody cares but in film/tv, people can google the actor and dislike when it is a trans actor. Many people would not notice or care if they didnt know and we have seen this proven true with certain cinema where a trans person is playing a character but passes very well.

the AI imagery is very anoying and distracting
Indeed. One would think that genuine occultic symbols from the medieval/early modern periods would be in the public domain and easy enough to procure.

intriguing.
Bram Stoker is a member of Order of the Golden Dawn, an occult exclusive club. Aleister crowley was also a member
Weren't Stokers membership just rumors? I thought it was never confirmed he to have been part of the order while being interested in the occult still
......Crowley was thrown out, literally, by W.B.Yeats.

I put a lot of effort, passion and time into crafting those stories, but thanks for watching.
