- Now is the Time is found on the Broken Walls album "The Path".
It has been an important part of the Broken Walls "live" performance since The Path came out in 2016. Broken Walls has been off the road since Feb 2019 after we completed the 10th Alaskan Iditarod Outreach. Many things have taken place with much reflection during this time. The residential school discoveries have changed the political and social climate and I hope things will never be the same.
The visitors (settlers) who have come to Turtle Island (North America) are now finding themselves in a place of accountability for the atrocities against the Indigenous peoples of the land. So far I have seen many repentant people who really want to see real change and walk out a new relationship with First Nations people. We as Indigenous people are in a place that I would call a new beginning. Finally, after all of these years we can began to truly have hope, healing and prosperity for our families & communities.
This is a time to follow the spirit and seek change, to do what is right before our Creator with forgiveness on our lips and in our hearts. This will build a true pathway to the healing that is so desperately needed across this land.
Now is the Time for us to act and see the change we've longed for..
