Life Is A Sacred Gift

I wrote this song after over 26 years of working among my native people and seeing the struggles they have faced every day with virtually no hope for their future, their families or their communities.
The message I carry is a message of restoration and self respect. A message that says we never have to be ashamed of who we are, that we can be proud to be First Nations and we can embrace the truth "that our Creator sees us as His Sons and Daughters!"
There has been enough suicide and family dysfunction. Residential schools, foster care and a variety of sins against our people have taken their toll. But, today is a new day and we must say, enough is enough and every child matters. Life is a Sacred Gift given to us by a Creator who loves and cares for us.
Moms and Dads, pray for your children, show them you love them like never before! Children, Love your parents with forgiveness and realize that they have had to face their own battles in life. We have all struggled but our common denominator is His love that will bring us together and heal our hearts, our families and our communities.
May this song help to share our Creators Spirit of love and healing for each and every one of us. His Kids.
