Hiya! If you liked this song, then may I suggest watching a tribute song they made for their younger brother Andy Gibb who passed away. It's called "our love " don't throw it all away on love. The bee gees are not Australian they are British, but they hold an Australian citizenship. I think it's best to actually go into the site to see all about them.

The Gibb brothers all moved to Florida ( Miami ) though in the early 70 s. Made many recordings in RK studio in North Miami. I lived nearby and read of them often. Maurice would walk for his daily morning coffee in South Beach. He was a regular and friendly with all the patrons he met there.

Mike and Jess, the Bee Gees wrote 1,030 songs, so the chances of you knowing many of them are a lot greater than you think! The tallest one is the eldest brother, Barry, the other two are twins, Robin with the vibrato voice and Maurice whose deeper vocals also added to the brothers’ range of harmonies. Only Barry is still living, he’s 78 and exactly four years older than me, to the day! 😍 Their little brother, Andy, died in 1988 at just 30, of myocarditis, an inflammation of the heart muscle most likely caused by a virus.
The shame of it is,cos most of those 1030 songs didn't come out in the mid to late 70s,or were part of the SNF soundtrack,a lot of people are not going to know them.

While the Bee Gees sold more than 220 million records worldwide, Barry, Robin, and Maurice Gibb also wrote hits for other artists, including the theme song to the 1978 film “Grease,” performed by Frankie Valli, “Woman in Love” by Barbra Streisand, “Heartbreaker”‘ by Dionne Warwick and “Islands in the Stream” by Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton. They also wrote “Immortality” recorded by Celine Dion, “If I Can’t Have You” by Yvonne Elliman, and “Chain Reaction” by Diana Ross.
Also, Barry and two other men produced Diana Ross' album 'Eaten Alive.' Maurice and Robin contributed to the lyrics for most of the songs. Andy contributed to the lyrics for one song. Michael Jackson contributed to the album also as writer and producer. Barbra Streisand's 'Guilty' song. The brothers are the lyrists for that song. He was also the primary writer & producer on Guilty, Heartbreaker, & Eyes That See in the Dark, as well as sang backing on almost every track, plus his 2 duets with Streisand. In fact, when an album for Barbra was first mentioned, she only wanted to work with Barry. Stigwood's the one who said the twins should be included on writing some songs. And that's basically how it was for other artists they worked with, as Barry's the one they really wanted! He's now the second most successful songwriter & producer in music history, after Paul McCartney & George Martin.

They had hits in the 60’s 70’s 80’s 90’s and 2000’s and had 22 studio albums and 83 singles. They also wrote songs for most of the top artists such as Dolly Parton and Kenny Rogers, Elvis, Barbara Streisand, Diana Ross, Olivia Newton-John, Yvonne Elliman, Tavares, Frankie Valli, Jimmy Ruffin and Dionne Warwick to name but a few. They wrote over 1,000 songs are in the Songwriters Hall of Fame and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
Born on the Isle of Man to English parents, the Gibb brothers lived in Chorlton, Manchester, England, until the late 1950s. There, in 1955, they formed the skiffle/rock and roll group the Rattlesnakes. The family then moved to Redcliffe, in the Moreton Bay Region, Queensland, Australia, and later to Cribb Island. After achieving their first chart successes in Australia as the Bee Gees, they returned to the UK in January 1967, when producer Robert Stigwood began promoting them to a worldwide audience. The Bee Gees' Saturday Night Fever soundtrack (1977) was the turning point of their career, with both the film and soundtrack having a cultural impact throughout the world, enhancing the disco scene's mainstream appeal. They won five Grammy Awards for Saturday Night Fever, including Album of the Year.
You have just fallen down the best rabbit hole you could find. The Bee Gees started singing together when they were kids. Barry ( in the middle ) was 9 years old and Robin ( on the left ) and Mourice (on the right ) who are twins were 6 years old. They became famous in the U. S. In the 60's they write all their own music even though they can't read music. They have also written songs for other artist such as Barbra Strisand, Diana Ross, Dion Warwick, Dolly Parton, Kenny Rodgers, Celine Dion and others. They have been around making music for over 5 decades. Sadly Mourice passed away in 2003 .and Robin passed away in 2012. Barry is the only Bee Gee brother left. They also had a younger brother who was also a famous singer ( solo ) . But he passed away at 30 years of age If you want to see how versatile their voices can be check out the song Nights On Broadway on the Midnight Special show. And their songs from the 60:s. They have so many good songs even passed the Disco era. Like For Whom The Beel Tolls, or You Win Again, or Alone, or Man In The Middle . There is so many more, to many to mention. But you will not be sorry. ENJOY!? ❤❤❤
The thing about this beutiful song is that they "gave" this song to children through the UN and so far the royalties given out of this song is unbelievable and the world is sooo thankful!!!❤❤❤
The Bee Gees are British, born and bred on the Isle of Man to British Parents. Barry is often the lead singer, but the other two are twins, both sadly dead now, but Robin also takes the lead, most notably in Massachusetts and I Started A Joke, and both are brilliant.
Welcome to the musical juggernaut that is the BeeGees. They had hit after hit during the 1960's, 70's, 80's and 90's. Pick any song to listen to and you'll be amazed how eclectic and talented they were.
Robin’s voice was always been my favourite. Plus I like his looks better. That aside. They had a different style in the 60’s and early70’s, then disco, then in the 90’s another style. Alone is my favourite from the 90’s, when Robin does his solo I melt. I really enjoy their music from the 60’s and early 70’s, more Robin. They are British, lived in Australia for a number of years, returned to England
They were actually English, but they moved to Australia as children. Barry, Maurice and Robin Gibb. Maurice and Robin are twins, they had a younger brother called Andy, who had a solo singing career. He was just about to join his brothers but tragically died of an undiagnosed heart condition! I love your channel! ❤❤
Every time you listen to one of their songs, it sounds like you're listening to a different band. And they wrote a lot of songs! The Bee Gees is one of my favorite bands!
You need to come out from under that rock 🪨 and rock out 🎸 with the BeeGeeS, "Staying Alive", "You Should be Dancing," "How Deep Is Your Love," "Tradedy" and many many more.😅 ✌️Peace ☮️ a 70 year old forever Young Hippie Gary 😊 Great Reaction👍 BeeGeeS GOAT!
I believe they were only in Australia for about 9 years before moving back to the UK. The article you looked at showed the origin as Australia, probably because they launched the Bee Gees band while still living there. They are British, although Barry now has dual British and US citizenship. They came back to the UK so that they could take their success to the next level. The most important thing is that people show them some love for the incredible songs that they gave us.
So glad more younger people are discovering this amazing group. Barry Alan Crompton Gibb, the lead in the middle, was the leader (they do have an older sister, Leslie, who isn't in the business) and fraternal twin brothers Robin (the clean-shaven one on the left) and Maurice, pronounced Morris (bearded on the right). They also had a little brother, Andy, who was about 12 years younger than Barry and 9 years younger than the twins, who also had a solo career for a while, but sadly died just 5 days after his 30th birthday in 1988. Maurice left us in 2003, I believe, when he went in for abdominal surgery and coded on the table. And Robin left us in 2012, when he had the same issue as Maurice, and when they operated, they found liver cancer. Barry's the last one left, though he recently at least semi retired. But the Bee Gees rabbit hole is DEEP. You MUST check out Lonely days (search for a live tv appearance, NOT the official video. The tempo drags for some reason on that one), To Love Somebody, and Nights on Broadway are a good sampling of their earlier work.
That sound is still incredible to listen to. They were not just fantastic artists, but also prolific song writers. Maurice died from complications from surgery, whilst his twin Robbin, died from cancer. Barry was knighted and is now Sir Barry Gibb. They weren’t Australian, but UK 🇬🇧
Pure talent unmatched. This trio of Brothers produces the most beautiful sounds. put on any record. Their unique and high falsettos blend so naturally together it's uncanny to witness. There are no gimmicks. no audio tune enhancements. No auto-tune at this time and this was live by the way. It's so pure and wonderful to witness. The Bee Gees are a generational talent and as you have just witnessed, I hope you're going to their rabbit hole of absolutely tremendous music by them. They have written well over a thousand songs for many, many artists and I'm sure you've probably heard some of them. Keep posting my friends and sending much thanks and the love from Canada 👍🇨🇦❤️❤️
Definitely my favorite Bee Gees song! I was crazy for those guys as a teenager. Had their poster on my wall and was always waiting for their songs to be played on the radio. Love them! And great reaction!🥰
They were born on the Isle of Man in England, and moved to Australia when they were young. Barry, 1946, Robin, left, and Maurice (pronounced Morris), fraternal twins, 1949. The first song they used the high falsettos in was 'Nights On Broadway', also from the Saturday Night Fever soundtrack, but Barry comes in low and powerful! Check out the live version on the Midnight Special TV show, you can see Barry on the guitar and Maurice setting the tone for Disco bass in STONE! I bought the Rickenbacker 4001 in my photo just because he played one like it in 'Jive Talkin'...😄
Barry Gibb bought his old house in Chorlton, Manchester and rented it out to students. There was an interview on The One Show a few years back with the tenants talking to their landlord Barry Gibb. Quite Surreal really 😊

I’m sure you have heard Bee Gees songs somewhere , you just didn’t know who they were , they are used everywhere , movies, tv shows , tv commercials , video games , etc, etc. etc…
The Gibb brothers were born on the Isle of Man, then lived in Manchester, England, before moving to Australia in 1958. It was in Australia that the Bee Gees' band was formed. In January 1967, the Gibb brothers returned to England where their band the Bee Gees started to become internationally famous
It's in Australia that they became known and famous and in the disco era 70's world wide superstars . I think they then went to the States afterwards and lived there , in Florida I believe not sure about that .
I didn't say they were Australian I said they were Brits please read carefully what I said. I said they became famous while in Australia then the UK then they went back to the UK then finally went to the US .
In a number of reaction videos to this song, they all ask what genre were the Bee Gees, country, rock, R&B, etc. The Bee Gees were unique in that they were their own genre.
This is my first time watching one of your reactions. Jess pretty much fell in love with the Bee Gee's during this song. It was so obvious! Don't worry Jess, ALL women did, they are amazing! They have MANY more hits for you both to react to. Have fun.
The Bee Gees are 3 brothers who were born on the Isle of Man (a protectorate of the UK) who then moved to Manchester in the UK. They then emigrated to Australia before coming back to the UK and then moving to the USA. Barry is the one in the middle and the twins either side are Robin (no beard) & Maurice (beard). Barry is the only one still alive. They also had a younger brother who was a solo artist and died at a young age. They had loads of hits over many decades and genres. They also wrote for other famous singers like Barbra Streisand, Dolly Parton etc.

They have been around making music for over 5 decades. Sadly Mourice passed away in 2003 .and Robin passed away in 2012. Barry is the only Bee Gee brother left. They also had a younger brother who was also a famous singer ( solo ) . But he passed away at 30 years of age
If you want to see how versatile their voices can be check out the song Nights On Broadway on the Midnight Special show. And their songs from the 60:s. They have so many good songs even passed the Disco era. Like For Whom The Beel Tolls, or You Win Again, or Alone, or Man In The Middle
. There is so many more, to many to mention. But you will not be sorry. ENJOY!? ❤❤❤
All of the proceeds from this song went to UNICEF
And still do if I understand it
Probably the best group ever
No auto tune or fake aids, just raw talemt
As a proud Welshman I share being from a Celtic nations with the Bee Gees with their roots on the Isle of Man
The thing about this beutiful song is that they "gave" this song to children through the UN and so far the royalties given out of this song is unbelievable and the world is sooo thankful!!!❤❤❤
Just look at JESS. Instant love at first sight. 🇬🇧
Who wouldn't go gaga over Barry Gibb! Like she said, the guy has SWAGGER!😍
The Bee Gees were also great in their pre falsetto days.
We have a 70-metre laneway in Redcliffe, Queensland, Australia called Bee Gee Way that honours them with photos, album covers and their music playing.
They’re British however.
The Bee Gees are British, born and bred on the Isle of Man to British Parents. Barry is often the lead singer, but the other two are twins, both sadly dead now, but Robin also takes the lead, most notably in Massachusetts and I Started A Joke, and both are brilliant.
The famous songs they have written for others are unbelievable too.
Welcome to the musical juggernaut that is the BeeGees. They had hit after hit during the 1960's, 70's, 80's and 90's. Pick any song to listen to and you'll be amazed how eclectic and talented they were.
They were the most popular in the 70s though
The brothers GIBB THEY BRITS
millions of fans around the world makes make this video one of the most viewers videos in internet
Barry’s a god.
Robin on the left had an amazing voice .. listen to For whom the bell tolls
As does Barry.
@@markfergusson4363 Yes but he was also addicted to drugs which lead to his untimely death.
@@gregorygant4242Drugs didn't lead to Andy's death, but affected his heart. His last bout with alcohol is what ultimately caused his death.
The Bee Gees were the greatest ever! Their music touches your heart and soul! Watch Fanny be tender with my love ❤️
Hey Barry gibb did a hit with Barbara striesand called guilty WOW AMAZING think you'll love it.
Excellent suggestion, along with their other duet What Kind of Fool!
Every time you listen to one of their songs, it sounds like you're listening to a different band. And they wrote a lot of songs! The Bee Gees is one of my favorite bands!
Barry 's falsetto was a trademark of the bee gees 🎉❤the other twins were also unique musicians... explore their amazing music journey wow ..🎉❤
They have a huge catalog of great songs. ❤
This song was the best one to play at my Discos many years ago, so many people cuddling and kissing on the dance floor.
One of my favourite songs ever. Bee Gees are music royalty
They wrote the music that featured in Saturday Night Fever - it set the disco on fire in the late 70s and early 80s. Fabulous!
"How deep is your love" is their best ballad EVER!
My favorite group - created fantastic music for 5+ decades!
70s, the golden era of music. Any kind of music style
200% YES! 👌
You have probably heard of the BeeGees because they sang "Stayin alive" which is the beat we're always told to do CPR to!
Lots of babies made during this song
These 3 Brothers were Amazing. Grew up singing and made nothing but great music. Love the Bee Gees
Welcome in the Univers of the Bee Gees. Best Group ever. What is the best Song by the Bee Gees? The next Song. ❤❤❤
Brother love, it's special, the Bee Gees are phenomenal and sound so much better than people assume they are going to sound.
These brothers shaped music, they are Legends. Many elite music artist had top hits written by the Bee Gees in many Genres.
This Song is sooo much 1970`s.. and a perfect Summer hit.. and a song bringing me back to the Beach.. A Classic one !!
There careers took off when the started singing falsetto. They sing normally in most of their earlier work.
It's not a live recording. It's from the Spirits Having Flown LP.
You've never seen Saturday Night Fever? See it!
more Bee Gee's please!
You're an awesome couple. God bless you both!
Yes they are brothers and from what I can see they were born in the Isle Of Man and brought up in Manchester
Barry Gibb bought his old house in Chorlton, Manchester and rented it out to students. There was an interview on The One Show a few years back with the tenants talking to their landlord Barry Gibb. Quite Surreal really 😊
Barry has an immaculate voice control from high pitch to an almost baritone.
This what the 70’s sounded like
In the times of disco dance club with a mirror ball in the middle of the dance floor ,every disco club should have a song from the Bee Gee to get a lot of people in the club .Very popular group .
I’m sure you have heard Bee Gees songs somewhere , you just didn’t know who they were , they are used everywhere , movies, tv shows , tv commercials , video games , etc, etc. etc…
"They're dreamboats." ❤😁
If u lived through the DISCO ERA, you know the BEE GEES !!!!
💞BEE GEES 💥FOREVER💕
bee gees love you inside out
Whenever I hear this my eyes well up and I'm transported back to my teenage years and a certain girl.
I believe many of us had/ have that same reaction….. SO VERY TALENTED………
They're British and moved to Australia
Beegees ❤ Robin ❤ the one without a beard...listen to some of his solos. Heartbreaking.
Check out Andy Gibb. The younger brother. Very good singer
I'm in tears here 😢 Amazing! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
@gregorygant4242 ...they were in Australia for about 6 years then came back to England then off to the States....they all held British Passports...
@@glastonbury4304 Yes, I know .
That's why I said they aren't Australian.
@@glastonbury4304They were actually in Australia not quite 9 years.
Unrivelled harmonising, the Best of British.
This was my time, dancing in a club, with a girl you just met.... Magic time.... They were born in England, and moved to Australia.
In a number of reaction videos to this song, they all ask what genre were the Bee Gees, country, rock, R&B, etc.
The Bee Gees were unique in that they were their own genre.
Just stunning sounds, all time favourite yet again.
This is my first time watching one of your reactions. Jess pretty much fell in love with the Bee Gee's during this song. It was so obvious! Don't worry Jess, ALL women did, they are amazing! They have MANY more hits for you both to react to. Have fun.
He was knighted by the Queen. Definitely British. Long live Sir Barry Gibb.
THANK YOU FROM BUFFALO, NEW YORK. LOVE THE BEE GEES AND BOZ SCAGGS.
All 3 were capable of the full falsetto
The Gibb brothers were born on the Isle of Man, then lived in Manchester, England, before moving to Australia in 1958.
