    Hahaha... Good old air filters... Back when we all had small cc bikes... The "on the way to school race scene" was a thing. And the easiest mod you could pull was to drill a "couple" extra holes into your air filter housing. Probably not the smartest thing a person could do to their bike but totally worth it!
    Great vid as always Scout!!

    I've been out of the new bike loop, crazy how the filter is the opposite flow direction from a traditional set up. Like carb clamp on the air is from the outside to inner part but that one is inner part outward. 😂 Alot of bikes are probably like that I just haven't been around to many lately. 🤙

    That's a shame you don't have a tuner or dyno near you.
    Opening up that inlet should definitely help the top end.
    I really wished yamaha could have made that opening a true ram air. I Would like to see dyno numbers when the engine is hot and see if it affects those numbers due to air inlet location.
    Keep it up sir.

      I know, I’ve hear there is a trailer that cones in town on an occasion but haven’t tracked it down yet.
      I agree they should have made it a ram air and ditched that lane light I. The front. I was riding in 104* and the bike was pulling a lot harder on the top end than I would have expected it really made a difference

    • @2stroketyson79

      ECU flash is all needed a tune just to ride on the street is pointless & waste of money everything is controlled by the ECU tons of R7s have been put on a dyno already so every tune that can be done to them is already known without needing it on a dyno

      @ScoutsOut  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      thanks bro I appreciate that. thats a hard decision, the crappy part is we don't know if or when the R9 will come out. Im sure it will but you really never know. I personally like the R7 and the power it produces, I know its slow for most but its exactly what I was looking for in a light weight super sport style bike. I don't want to steer you wrong but I would think we would see the announcement next August if we are getting one or not.

      Good that your doing your research, the r7 is awesome. From what I noticed out of the DNA filter and top cap I later installed is that I got more top end power out of them. Hope this helps, let me know if you end up getting the bike and what you think about it
