It looks like potency of Aeolian Edge will be increased by a flat 60 while under the effect of Kazematoi as opposed to the way it was said in the video implying that it would be 60 per stack. Glad to see the breakdown won't be increasing the button layout. Ninja on controller is already busy enough.
So more stacks of Kazematoi means greater Aeolian Edge damage, but what is the Kazematoi gauge spent on? 🤔 Edit: After a little more research it seems that Aeolian Edge uses 1 charge of Kazematoi, awesome!
I was a smn main yesterday i decided to main rdm since smn sucks now and now thanks to this vid im gonna go ahead and main nin for dawntrail. Im glad i got Mandeville relics for smn rdm and nin. Probably gonna go back and forth for my main until the 26th 😂
Tbh i kinda wish they also updated/changed/evolved the visuals of the Aeolian edge combo as well, I played Nin since it's release all the way back in ARR and I am SERIOUSLY sick of looking at that bland combo after pressing all my fun buttons.
Finally a Mug that suits Ninja more, love the theming of Poison Breath aka Dokumori. New skills look suck asf. Looks like we'll have more reasons to use Armor Crushes before buff windows, feels kinda the reverse of Huton upkeep (which was hardly engaging imo). Opener will be fun asf. So much dps to look forward to playing (but rip Smn)
Initially, I thought you could get shuriken stacks with armor crush and when aeolian edge is used then all stacks are consumed for a +60 potency per each stack But that would probably be too OP
i think it's mostly good, it's going to be weird switching from being a rear priority job to a flank priority job in terms of fight positioning but I'll get used to it. I also think the Kunai stacks for Aoelian Edge are not super exciting but it's potentially a good building block for 8.0 if they give us something like Gunbreaker's Gnashing Fang Combo to spend it on perhaps during the odd minute burst which is less busy. I don't really feel that into it if there's no extra gameplay element or decision making regarding the guage b/c as it stands it's just Huton under a slightly different functionality. The actual Huton attack being an AOE hidden granter is actually huge for multi target optimization. Right now if you're going into a trash pack situation you still want to trick attack someone for the extra damage but using Suiton is a damage loss because it only hits one target and doesn't trigger the Nozuchi effect on Doton so it kind of takes you out of the multi target mindset. Ninja has a very robust mult-target kit that runs on slightly different logic than its single target (i.e. not just abilities with multi-target fall off damage but entirely different buttons with their own rules and interactions) so it's cool to get more abilities that play into that aspect of the job.
My only real beef with Ninja is we still cant use Trick (gotten at level 18) in combat until level 45, making it unusable for bosses in all but 2 arr leveling dungeons.
It hurts my soul every time I hear someone pronounce "Bhavacakra" as "Bavakakra"... 😂 (Correct pronunciation, for the record, is "Bavachakra"... That's "cha" as in "chapstick" rather than "charming" btw...)

Yeah I wasn't very clear about that, in my head its 60 potency for each hit, would be pretty funny to hit with 740 potency aeolian edge.

It affects both Zesho Meppo and Bhavacakra, not huton though! You'll use huton in AOE packs to prep a trick attack!
