During races sometimes it's more beneficial to stay behind a car and use the slip stream to gain to the cars in front! During the Schumacher battle in the early parts you could have kept behind him and you would have closed to Russell. Fighting wastes time and makes you fall behind

a tip for what could be better on turns and being more precise would be changing gears manually but it might be hard to get used to so practice it first for a while and you decide.
You have to develop the pit stop crew to stop them having problems at the pitstop, so even if you get optimal turn-in the crew might still mess up unless to update them.
Man I was at the edge of my seat! Grat playing, and the game looks really fun.

You know what would be cool? Shoot an in-between vid with Microsoft Flight Simulator where Cooper Motors is traveling from Headquarters somewhere in Europe to the track in a big 747 or a private jet. This way it’ll be more immersive. Thx for the series!
You should try going manual with suggested gear, get better control of the car and cornering speed/ traction

Remember to take off assisted ers use it looks like it might be enabled and it uses ers at bad moments assisted mode
Hey Trev I love the F1 videos!! I also wanted to give you a tip when the back end kinda starts to come out it’s best to come of the gas a little bit and turn the wheel back out slightly for a better chance of staying in the fight and not spinning out a lot.
....Your playing on auto gears with THAT WHEEL!....jesus.....come on Tmartn....
Just a tip for car set ups, you can go into the time trials mode for each track and on one of the screens, it shows you the players who have set the fastest time on that track. You can load the set up that one of those players used and save it so next time you’re at that track, you already have a set up saved
tt setups aren’t good race setups

I don’t think sponsors count corner cutting unless it’s pointed out by the race officials subsequently giving you either penalty’s or warnings depending on severity of the corner cut

Note for future instances of using a 2021 setup for the 22 game: an 11 rear wing was different from track to track on 21 (11 rear wing at Monza was a different level of downforce than an 11 rear wing at Monaco) while that difference from track to track is no longer in the game for 22. That would help explain the straightline speed issues with using the 50 rear wing
I can't believe nobody liked your comment, Trevor was running way too much downforce for the circuit, even the tire pressures where a bit too high.
@@MrKnowledge0014 well in a way running too much downforce actually did help since AI had their OP straight line speed that couldnt be matched at the time of the video
@@gordonfan291 That's not OP straight line speed, It's not running max rear wing.
In Jeddah you can do really well with half the down force as it's a speed circuit like Baku.
During the tire strategy toggle it to personalized to get more accurate predictions on when you’ll pit

On the start of the race- you stayed in 1st gear too long. That's why you lost traction.. you'll want to upshift faster to 2nd/ 3rd and then put the power down

Can you please turn simulation damage on to make it a little more exciting and also so you can’t just ram into the back of cars. Also think about doing 50% race so we can really see tire wear.
that setup was pretty good, just need to tweak it for a bit more speed and less downforce to have that straightaway speed

By the way the formation lap has always been in the game the reason why you never done it is because you never turned it on

If you upgrade the personnel department you will have a less chance of pit errors.
Great Race! Next time use the faster car (mic) to your advantage to pull you with the drs. Constant overtakes slows you both down from the rest of the front pack.

Trev one thing I recommend is leaving open the menu where it shows how much fuel you have left helps you out a lot more than you think
you should do the manual ers deployment, it can save a race if you manage it well
try disabling assists progresively
Try adjusting your traction control settings so your not spinning as much! The new game really makes you spin more than last game.
The corner cutting sponsorship is dependent on your corner cutting stringency in settings.

I ran 18-25 wings on this circuit, on controller. Didn´t need to suffer for long w a mechanical failure on lap 8
you should play in manual, seems like a crime to have that wheel and run automatic
I’m not a fan of street Circuit races in f1. But this is probably the only one I actually don’t mind racing.

that was SUCH a good race
The reason your car was slower in the straights is partly because of your setup, but mostly because of the engine you chose. The Red Bull engine that you chose is slower in the straights than the Ferrari engine. Haas uses a Ferrari engine and so do Ferrari and which explains why Mick and Charles were a lot faster than you in the straights during the race and quali even with no drs. (Alfa also uses Ferrari)

Trev You turn your wheel to much be softer with the wheel going in the corners the car will the move itself, also be careful to not get on the gas to early when exiting a corner

The cars handle completely different from last years. So whatever setups are designed for last years cars will not work for the newer cars.
