Hey David. I bought this bike from you a few years ago. I Have been super happy with it! It's still in great condition. I keep it garaged and I'm only a fair weather rider. Never been in the rain.
It is interesting how the miles alone do not make a bike age, at least visually. I bought a grey import from the USA in 2014 which had 21,000 miles on the odo, but it looked tired because it was a few years off 35 then. I still have it 9 years later at age 42, but I have had to work hard to keep it looking good. I am not a concours bike, rider type of person. They get covered in dust and dirt and fly dirt and they can start to look ratty, But I like to ride the old girl, and even though she looks over the hill, people still say that she is a nice looking scoot. Love the W650 and W800. A rarity in the modern bike world with under square bore and stroke dimensions, much like a Norton of days gone by. With these undersquare ratios you could expect more torque.
How do you get to spark plugs? Let me guess you have to REMOVE tank to get to spark plugs(ridiculous)! P.S Or do you have to have the SPECIAL TOOL for 59.95 to get tank off! I'll stick to OLD Honda CB!

I have just bought a 'W650' in similar condition, what did you pay back then, out of interest ?
@@kdsowen2882 I think 5500.00. I think it was reasonable with all the upgrades and extras it had. Plus I just wanted it.
What kind of bags are those? -- he never mentions the name, but they look pretty dialed in.
These bikes are awesome. I was only 8 or 9 when it was new so I didn't know about these. Really cool. Old BSA but more reliable.
I wish this bike was for sale - I love it :)

Never heard of the bar weights in my life. Idk if I like the idea but that's interesting.
Those gas tanks are beautiful when you remove the the rubber knee pads. Wonder how easy I could put one on my Vulcan 500. Would look sweet I think.

Great bike! Whats the brand name and model of the luggage system for this bike?
