First time watching the boardwalk empire (reaction)
The Oversimplified episode on Prohibition makes for a hugely fun and informative postscript to the show once you're done. It's almost as long as a whole Boardwalk episode. Fills in some gaps and also revisits things already seen in funny terms.
I honestly didn’t mind a time jump but I wish the time jump wasn’t as long as it was. Seven years is crazy
They had practice with Rome. Sadly.
Funny you mentioned Kennedy's accent. Now I hear it clearly all the time. All the years I've watched and rewatched Boardwalk Empire, I never really paid attention to the accent. Lol
Yeah, this episode is probably the slowest of the season. I think it focused on setting the bases to close the arcs of some characters. But the ones with the Chicago and New York gangs... Oh boy, so good. I'll look forward to your next uploads!
The first four episodes of S5 are somewhat of a slow burner. The 2nd half, or last four pick up pace. I recently rewatched the show and I am honestly impressed with how much they fit into eight episodes

My guy survived 4 seasons plus a 7 year time jump
The reason they rushed Season 5 is because this show was airing at the same time as GoT and both shows were costing HBO a lot of money and since GoT was becoming more popular, they decided to end Boardwalk early which sucks because even though Season 5 is not that bad, I still feel like it could have had a lot more episodes to cover events from 1925 to 1931 .
Have some time jumps between episodes. They really missed out on showing us Rothstein's death, Capone's rise to power after the St. Valentine's Day Massacre of '29, the Great Depression,the violent kidnapping of Luciano that he barely survived which gave him his iconic scar and droopy eye, the Castellamarese war, Elliott Ness behind the scenes, etc.
