Yes, the casting here... Really impressive, not just by the way they look but also the way they act! Great job, couldn't expect less from the team that worked on this show, expectional to the last detail.

@@chidiumeh Yeah she was drunk all the time and would do really weird shit on and off set. People would joke that she didn’t know there were cameras since she was basically playing herself. They just got tired of dealing with her so she was hastily written out of the show. Gillian faces hysterectomy. In the age pre-lobotomy, which will be used in later decades, hysterectomy was the procedure used to cure female mental illnesses, whatever kind, from severe depression to psycosis, etc. Like the word says, they thought an uterus and ovaries were the organs that made women "hysteric", so they took them out. Of course the procedure didn't cure anything for real, also funny how doctors didn't think to apply the same concept to cure male patients by cutting the balls off, probably because the doctors were all male, lol. As for Torrio, I think his involvement here is because he agrees with Charlie and Meyer vision of a mafia syndacate, to end all the wars between clans. In order to do that Charlie needs to become head of New York Italian mafia since Maranzano and Masseria don't agree with this idea, so that's the cause of the hit here. Oh my, this episode. There was a small fanbase for this show when it was first aired, it was on Tumblr. I remember I fought with a lot of people when this episode came out, because of the Eli/Sigrid situation. The majority all thought Sigrid had "raped" Eli, because he was incapacited by being constantly drunk and she took advantage of him. Well, I kindly disagree, since Eli seemed to pretty know what was he doing while doing it and didn't seem to mind going to Nelson home while he wasn't around, so... Not really a victim here, just a man doing bad decision after bad decision.
Torrio doesn't need protection; he's not in the game anymore. And that's the problem: he never wanted to retire, was forced out by Capone and is now trying to secure a place in the future of organized crime.
I never understood why, but my favorite couple in this show was Van Alden and his (second) wife. So this episode made me a little sad lol. Still great though!
I actually love Sigrid, in her good and her bad era, LOL. My god, all the red headeds in this show were/are fenomenal characters! Gillian, Sigrid, Esther! Such badasses!
It's really a shame there are only eight episodes in this season. Even with 8 it's a masterpiece but HBO put the producers/writers in such a poor position.
