Sir I'm conruse, if it is connected in series, how come it can controls the current? 🤔
Since it's a variable resistance so on increasing the resistance by pushing the jockey away the current decreases as voltage across its end is constant

What will happen if we connect circuit from B to C in rheostat?
Terminal a is compulsory in any of the circuit connections if we use B and c terminal there is no use of Rheostat
