To National Taiwan University Choir. Thank you for singing our song. For every Filipino, this means a lot to us. You sang it perfectly. Tears rolled in my eyes while watching your video.
Ronnie Peralta , so if it was not composed in year 1960, so I'm correct because during my college days I won 2nd prize in our school intramural. Singing "Dahil Sayo". I was 18 yrs old then. My childhood, teenagers, my college days and even availing the student loan program of the government which is the Study Now Pay-later ( SNPL) under the administration of Pres. Marcos. Fortunately, I passed the CPA Board Exam and landed a job at Land Bank of the Phils. In just a period of one (1) year, I paid in full my student loan. On the other hand, EDSA Revolution was in the year 1986.
@@ugmangdamlag7328 "Dahil Sa Iyo" is a song by Mike Velarde, Jr.,[1] written in 1938 for the movie, Bituing Marikit[2] and sung by the "King of the Philippine Movies" Rogelio de la Rosa.[1] A version with English-Tagalog lyrics, recorded in 1964, was a hit in the United States and continues to be popular in Filipino communities on American soil.
This song was even sung by Nat King Cole and the Lettermen during the 70's. My father brought some cassette tapes from saudi when I was in Elementary school that's why I know this song.
After listening to this, I've found out just how underrated music from the Filipinos really is. You guys are wonderful, like an actual chorus singing from the gates of Heaven.
I'm more than 9 years here in Taiwan as an OFW, I'm so proud and thankful seeing and hearing this...and I'm also lucky and thankful that I've found a kindhearted employer
Love and hope, serenity and happy surrender, acceptance and release, boundless generosity and indulgence, affection that is unconditional, transcendent and eternal. To love like that is truly once in a lifetime. This song and how it is sung here always makes me float high, high up!
