White out conditions! Lord Jesus please keep Jackie, Shadow, Spirit, Simba and Stormy all safe as well as tHa rest of Channel Islands Breeding pairs of Eagles and their offspring!
Great job panning the camera. This shows us just how severe this storm is. I pray for everyone in Big Bear as well as our beloved Jackie & Shadow to be safe until this storm passes. 😟
That is some blizzard! I expected to see snow in the nest this morning but I didn't know it was going to be that severe. Glad to hear that J&S are letting us know they are safe. The cam pan was amazing, showing that snow blowing all around. Thanks for sharing it with us Cali, you are awesome.
I’m starting to think Snowmageddon 2023 will never end. I’m so tired of cold, rain and snow. Not to mention the wind. And the hail, thunder and lightning! 🥶😱
@@Ioncandi Well at least our drought situation is much better now. California still needs all the moisture it can get. The problem now is mudslides and houses collapsing from the weight of the snow..
So good to hear the eagles call out to each other after the horrible winds. Thanks for including that, CC! May Jackie and Shadow prevail and the nest, too.❤❤🦅🦅 It would have been agonizing to watch the nest had one or both of those eggs hatched. Personally, I'm glad they didn't. J&S would've suffered much more if one or both hatched and didn't survive this brutal weather.
They are very smart birds and know when to batten down the hatches as it were, I would suspect Jackie is going to hold off laying the second clutch until this current blizzard is over with.
Hoping their love nest tree stays put. Wow, what a nightmare with all these storms in the area. I hope they are both taking shelter in a thicker tree! Hate to hear that either one got knocked out and hurt. They are such gracious birds.
Oh my. Prayers for all and hope ALL come through this horrible unrelentless weather. Again Mother Nature taking toll and adding reprieve to drought but my goodness. Stay safe, stay covered Jackie and Shadow. ❤🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
I'm so glad Jackie and Shadow can find a safer spot and hunker down for the duration of the storm! I wouldn't survive in this storm but they are more able and clever. Be safe bird friends!
Watching from Muskoka, Ontario, it is not easy to reconcile this weather with my picture of what California is like! Wow! Hang tight Jackie and Shadow!!
Thank you, Cali, for sharing live cam footage of this blizzard. I'm sure with their strength, courage and tenacity, Jackie and Shadow will be fine. The powerful winds and the blizzard conditions reminds us of the forces of nature! Thanks for giving us the "entire view" from their nest! What an amazing view! 🦅🦅
Wow, thank you for taking the time to make this video. It is so amazing what wildlife live through. Thank you for capturing their songs. Jackie and Shadow are amazing. Sending love and blessings to all the inhabitants of the Southern California Mountains. Sweet Eagle Dreams. 🤍🤍🤍
As long as we can hear them, I know they're okay and out there doing "eagle things." ❤️ (But that wind is horrendous! Stay hunkered down, dear couple.)
Oh No! Not Again! Been Hoping and Praying For Better Weather For Them! Hope They Will Be Ok. Was Hard To See The Nest Covered In Snow Again 😢 Reminded Me When It Was Like That When Jackie Was Sitting In It On Her Eggs That Didn't Hatch 😢 Praying That This Terrible Weather Let's Up Soon! Stay Safe Jackie and Shadow! ❤
Hermoso todo esto gracias por hacerlo posible amo esta pareja pido a Dios que puedan reproducirse y que soporten este clima bendiciones alas personas que hace posible esto
I'm glad I ceremoniously "adopted" Fiona and Fast Freddie with the help of the Friends of Big Bear Valley. Since we think she might be pregnant, the money might come in handy. Hopefully she had time to run out and get some soft pine needles, extra acorns, and extra warm spider webs to fill their basement apartment.
Dear Jackie and Shadow, please fly to Florida for a little vacation. There are a few eagles in my backyard area. I’m sure they would love some company. No fish, but lots of rabbits. You might enjoy a small gator or two……lol
What kind of critter might it be, crossing the middle clearing in that weather at 17:37:52, moving to the right and behind the distant trees at 17:38:02?
I don't see anything besides snow, snow and more snow. 🙃 FYI: We have mountain lions, bobcats, coyotes, mule deer, bighorn sheep, wild donkeys and black bears in Big Bear.
🟢 I suspect that regular 0 to infinity lens Zooms ↕ and 360 degree panning 🔁 are essential to maximum camera life, especially in cold weather. (Much the same as encouraging seniors to walk everyday.) And the beauty of it is that because it happens in the San Bernardino Mountains while everyone is hoping for a glimpse of Jackie and Shadow, we are taken on a welcome diversion! Kudos to the people responsible for getting the equipment up the mountain and double KK to the tree climbers. Yes they are professionals but that is dangerous. 🟢
That camera pan was AMAZING...TY
I heard the winds alone are going to very bad there tonight. Praying they will be safe. 🙏😔
🙏🙏🙏
🙏💗
I've been watching J and S for a year and that's the first time I've seen what's out the back door! Had no idea the nest cam could do a 360! Awesome!

❤❤I'm getting so attached to these love birds. I'm praying they'll be safe! Listen to that storm!😮Praying 😮

It's ridiculous. Last time it was this bad was Winter 1995. I'm so over it!
it's great for the local ski resorts and all of the businesses that surround them. Time for them to make some money!
I dont blame you..while here on the East Coast..mid Atlantic states....No Snow at All.....bad winter for the ski resorts here

It was best 😪❤
@@dreamcatcher5502 Nature can be brutal, but I'm glad it spared J&S that heartache, at least this year (so far).
Very true
I agree. It will be heartbreaking for them
They are very smart birds and know when to batten down the hatches as it were, I would suspect Jackie is going to hold off laying the second clutch until this current blizzard is over with.
Times like these really show us what a difference shelter makes. May all be safe. 🤍🦅
what a bummer! they get the nest all ready to go and the next blizzard arrives - tough winter for J&S🤍🦅🤍🦅
Hoping their love nest tree stays put. Wow, what a nightmare with all these storms in the area. I hope they are both taking shelter in a thicker tree! Hate to hear that either one got knocked out and hurt. They are such gracious birds.
Thank you FOBBV for the video. I’m always amazed by nature. Jackie and Shadow are so inspirational!
Awesome! 🦅🦅
Oh My!!
IT’s Global Wintering!!
God Bless our
Beauties
Jackie and Shadow.
Too soon to lay an egg
I hope. 🥶 Brrrr.

In the great blizzard, Dzekya and Shadoov sing beautifully ❄️❄️. Thanks Cali Condor.
Please be safe J&S. I'm a newcomer but have been watching you 2.
Thank you Cali ❤ .70 here today and the wind there makes me cold 🥶 😊☕️🫖
Pray for J&S and their beautiful nest 🪹

Beautiful and breathtaking
Dang, our "love birds" can't get a break! I'm hoping the weather breaks out into spring sunshine and let this little family get to it. NO MORE SNOW!
Makes me cold just watching this storm….brrrr
Beautiful duet! Thanks!
Wow, I don’t miss that… makes me glad I left the mountain when I did.

Woww!! Thank you.
Love to hear their lovely chortling over the storm. Beautiful!🙏💕

Stay safe you too

Oh no, the beautiful remodeled nest is covered in snow again. These two can't catch a break.
And they had that, nest so neat and tidy. Hope it melts soon.
Oh my goodness, the howling wind is the scariest part. Hoping Spring arrives very soon.
Wow, what a storm! It looks and sounds more like hail!

Thank you for supporting FOBBV and making these amazing cameras possible! 😊
Poor babies can not catch a break from this weather 😢😢😢
Shows you how tough eagles and other woodland creatures are. They're built for this.
Thank goodness no chicks hatched in this. WOW!
Wow! I agree with somebody’s comment, with what the nest camera can do.
Can't imagine taking care of babies in the nest in this weather.
🦅🦅💕
Oh my goodness ....where is the nest in this storm....buried for now 😮🦅🦅
Time for Jackie and Shadow to fly south for the winter 🥶🦅🦅
They thrive in Alaska. They're made for snow, ice, frost & extreme temps. Thank goodness 🦅🦅🐧🐧🌧🌨❄😅
Omg another Blizzard … you are kidding 😳
C'mon mother nature, let Big Bear go already! I pray Jackie and Shadow stay safe! Looks like a week of this weather 😬
Well, old man winter does not want to let go, right ?
Our Eagle friends are in a great spot waiting the snow storm out. Wait until they come back to the nest and see what happened.
It amazes me that birds that don’t migrate south can find shelter in the forest!
Indeed! Even some hummingbirds sometimes winter in Big Bear!
Great to see some camera panning when there's no one around --- for a change.
It sounds so violent, but those tough pines are barely even moving.
Around 7:15am this morning on 3-22 Shadow was making show angles in the nest. 😆
Dear Jackie and Shadow, please fly to Florida for a little vacation. There are a few eagles in my backyard area. I’m sure they would love some company. No fish, but lots of rabbits. You might enjoy a small gator or two……lol
Difficult weather conditions. I assume that the eagles have experience and know what to do in such conditions.
They are built for cold weather…but I hate to think of them exposed to this. Hope they have a warm safe sheltered spot to wait it out.
Not again...

I see we’re not the only place still getting crappy weather up here in Michigan. I’m sick of that white stuff already.
In AZ as well. J and S aren't the only ones to hunker down.
Я думала, что Калифорния это солнечный штат, а там ужас, ужас.😰
