Mazinger Z was my absolute favourite when i was a kid. Mazinger was huge in the spanish speaking world.

Totally, a lot of older Mexican people i talked to knew of it. It was great seeing their faces light up with nostalgia as they recognize it on my clothing
The fact that this is made & designed by a Chinese company & the brand is now also well accepted in japan, says a lot of how far they are right now not just in toy manufacturing but also in design & production ❤ great review as always

Mazinger it’s a property that’s it’s been around for about 50 years , I grow up with it , Mazinger its huge in Latinoamérica, I don’t know if you have it in Netflix but we do here , you should check it out if you like classic anime . It also hace many incarnations if you want to check something more contemporary

Lol you are like me. I only collect diecast car and figures. Recently trying to get hot toys plastic figures like spider man but not sure I like them as much as Ironman and War Machine. I got Gundam as well both Chinese version and Japanese version.

Mazinger zero is from Shin Mazinger Zero VS Ankoku Daishogun manga. It has also appeared in Super Robot Wars V game

To put it in simple, there are many different Mazingers versions but I grew up with the first one Mazinger Z which to me is the first Giant robot vs robot anime. It probably inspired Evangelion in many ways. This one is like the over steroid monster like version of it. There is a female companion of him that also shoots rockets from her boobs too!

It's the first Mecha anime to have a pilot sitting inside of the Mecha. All Mecha anime presiding Mazinger have there pilot control the Mecha with a remote control like an RC car

To put it simple mazinger Z is the one of the pioneer of super robot genre..
Zero on the other hand is the peak form of mazin machines. where it took the whole mechaverse to calm him down..
Oh yeah he also rewrote/consumed the whole mechaverse where he is the only mecha that ever existed....

I have no clue this one either but I have great Mazinger Infinity from metal build line. That figure looks better I think than this version. Not sure what that red round thing at the back.

The red zero in its back is its Scrander.
Scrander is usually the red wings and jetpack in the back of most Mazingers, but occasionally it's a separate part of the mech.
In Zero's case, the reason for this Scrander's unique shape is thanks to his power distorting Mazinger Z's normal form, from a more conventional mecha, like your Infinity figure, to the monstrous form it assumes.
Meanwhile Mazinger Z itself is one of the first super robot franchises out there, and many of the more famous tropes associated with the genre were cemented by it. The rocket punch, the super robot that's usually humanity's last hope on the story, and so on.

I am surprised -you did not have Japanese animation imported to your country? Mazinger is pretty popular. Granted, there are my versions -similar to Power Ranger or Kamen Rider. But if you get your hands on any others, please do review them.

@@JustinsCollection It looks small. Granted it has die-cast parts. But i little disappointed when you opened the box and the robot was resting horizontally. It would be much better if it was the lenght of the box -vertically.

is involved in a time travel story when the original mazinger Z goes berserk, becomes Mazinger Zero, destroys every life form in the entire UNIVERSE, and before he finishes, someone goes into past and try to stop it... fail, go to past again, fail... for over 2000 times
his combat abilites are god level, not even a dragonball character or saitama from one punch man should be able to defeat it
