pletter64 Zoo lock spanks everything except for Freeze mage, and control war 50% of the time so it is ideal for laddering. I'm not saying Firebat is a bad guy. I'm just saying that phrasing it that way was funny because it was so brutal. I'm pretty sure most of the reason they were paired back to back is because Firebat plays really early

Hey Firebat I'm not sure if you'll see this but I have been subscribed to you for a long time now probably since around 3,000 subs or so! I'm super happy that you are getting recognized as you are one of my favorite Hearthstone streamers. I had two questions about this deck because I decided to try it out. 1. What are you looking for turn one? 2. What can be used to replace bloodmage thalnos and Alexxstrsza? Thank you for everything! I hope you know you are some people's favorite streamer :)
Im not firebat, but i hope i can still help. Well a replacement for Alextrasa is very hard to find cause she is one of the key cards, but i guess u could try an archmage antonidas to compensate the missing life reset with more burn. For thalnos i would try either a loothoarder or a geomancer. Hope i could help, have a nice day.

I love playing Freeze mage into Warlock. Now that Molten is gone only Renolock could ever give you problems. Almost as auto-win as the Priest matchup
I miss my molten giants :( I spent 4 months making that deck and now its all ruined because of 1 card nerf

90% of people running warriors which are close to unwinable with freeze mage.
yeah i seen on Lifecoach's stream at least on his server the percentage of warrior is almost at 30%, shaman is also in the 20% range. balance needed ???

Freeze mage is not that good atm :) I played a lot before standard but now isn't doing that well
Freeze mage has an advantage against zoo so it might seem strong here because zoo is a very strong deck but right now freeze mage is losing to most other decks. I'm playing n'zoth control warrior and I don't think I've lost a single game to freeze mage this month.
I've always hated freeze mage, but its so nice when playing control warrior that you know they have so little of a chance to beat you. Makes me feel safe at night

because forbidden flame only works on minions you need that 10 damage to screw someone at low health

+James Clark kobold geomancer works okay, i actually replaced him with malygos at one point. Malygos is best if it's a control heavy meta, (which its not atm), so kobold is probably your best bet
Best replacement is Loot Hoarder

Play cult sorcerer works similarly to thalnos with the +1 spell damage
without Antonidas is there anyway of beating control warriror with this deck?...it seems pretty hard to me = O
You can try Malygos and hope for a good Thaurissan. Malygos +2x Frostbolt +2x Ice Lance is 34 damage with Thaurissan proc. If he happens to not be able to remove either Thaurissan or Malygos it may be gg since Thaurissan can set up a better OTK and Malygos can deal sick damage next turn as well. The other route is him not having Justicar and you getting a good Alex that puts him at kind of like 20 being easily burstable next turn.
even with antonidas the ctrl warr matchup was like 70-30 in the warrior's favor. just dont lay freeze in a ctrl warrior meta.

I think it is safer bc sometimes u cant draw alexstrasza.
With emperor, u can have a otk with 5 cards.
Full burst : Malygos, 2 frostbolt and 2 ice lance to do 34 damage.
Semi burst : Malygos, any 3 of the rest to do 25-26 damage.
but malygos has to Stick.. your deck relying on a minion to Stick is kinda bad

I am talking about otk. With emperor, u only need 3 reduced mana cost card to do the burst. 8mana malygos+ 2 mana frostbolt+0 mana ice lance*2.

Because he went from having 7 burst in hand to mathematically winning the game the next turn. The sooner you can cycle through your deck the sooner you can burn your opponent out before they can get through your ice blocks. Value doesn't matter if you can just end the game in your favor, that's one of the fundamental reasons the deck works.

Healing for a lot after Alex is usually an easy way to beat them. The other option would be to threaten to kill them so they can't set up lethal over multiple turns, stuff like Ragnaros is pretty strong. But the easiest way would be to play cancer and kill them by turn 3.
how come Archmage Antonidas isn't in the deck?
pyroblast + 2 torches (2 roaring torches) is more than enough dmg. except when you face control warri/reno decks and even then it is enough most of the time

you can try archmage antonidas, but he is good only vs control matchups, otherwise try a 2nd loat hoarder or a flamestrike
Pyroblast gets used like 1/10 freeze mage games with success imo you could be fine wihtout it but then again you might not. If you have every other card including the alex and the blocks you should go for it
Malygos. Otherwise you need to play the other variant of the deck with no pyro, one barrier that uses mirror image instead.

True. But hearthstone seems by far the card game that requires most luck. And it all ends with one lucky draw.
Bluffs, fakeouts, mindgames. (Making an action that's illogical and inefficient, baiting your opponent into reacting to something you can't do, so you can fuck him over and punish his 'counter') Among other things
mtg requires more luck than hearthstone actually, due to land cards. You are significantly more likely, from a statistical standpoint, to draw a card you don't want or need in magic than you are in hearthstone. A hearthstone deck is far more consistent than a mtg deck. That said, magic has way more hilarious combos, and is still a fun game in it's own right.
Mana drought/flood is literally the reason i like hearthstone better. I realize that it doesn't happen often, but it's infuriating when it does.
kingofbudokai usually happens to me, must be really bad at shuffling but even when I do the 8 random piles it happens
I can confirm. In Hearthstone, worst case something doesn't go your way. In MtG, not being able to play an important card for 5+ turns because you can't get your goddamn mana is a very real possibility.

That's exactly where rational and unrational minds collide. "Playing a game" is nothing what it once was. People these days are just playing to win, not even having fun. if someone tells me freeze mage or aggro decks are fun, you seriously need help or get something fixed, because when your only joy is to ruin the fun of others, you should not be allowed to play against or with people. What buffles me, is how blizzard sees no need to fix obvious abusive strategies, like playing solitair mage but goes "well it's in the game so screw you". There's no tactics involved. It's either you draw right or you don't - nothing more nothing less, if you say it's tactical to decide when to play which freeze card or doomsayer, you should seriously think about the width of your horizon.
