This rallied many of their fans, who organized protests and made the news. Ultimately, this helped secure the abolition of the pre-censorship system, which was under discussion in the National Assembly at the time. 5. After Seotaiji & Boys ended, Seo Taiji returned to the Korean music industry as a solo artist in 2000. At the time, the station's music broadcasting system was of very poor quality and was unable to properly support artists' live performances. Seo proposed pre-recordings as an alternative, and worked with MBC, which was the most friendly station to him, to make most of his broadcasts pre-recorded. Other stations other than MBC reacted against this, and they tried to use the power of the media to undermine Seo Taiji's influence and socially bury him, and the keyword "kill Seo Taiji" was all over the news at the time. However, pre-recorded broadcasts, which Seo Taiji pioneered, have become an essential format for K-pop singers today to deliver high-quality broadcast performances to their fans.
