Embarrassing stories? I don't really consider it embarrassing, but is funny. A friend at the time (in highschool) asked to use my phone, he said he was gonna search something online. I said sure and then he suddenly screams, I'm like: "what happened?" The dumbass opened my phone gallery, without my permission and saw some 18+ boys love pictures. I just laughed and told him it was his fault. Nobody told him to stick his nose there! 🤣😂
This is going to sound weird on my part, but I never went through that "Awkward" weeb phase. I think it's due to my age honestly because I saw very little anime in the 80s and early 90s since it wasn't well known here yet. But then anime like Sailor Moon, DBZ, and Pokemon came about and slowly but surely anime became more popular. I don't know if it was because of the school I went to (it was small and out in the country so everyone knew each other back then) or what but it wasn't a 'weird thing' to like anime. I do cringe at the fanfics I created in High School though, but that's really to the extent of it. Plus, being introverted by nature, it was rare for me to talk about ANY of my interests to anyone. It's not that it embarrasses me, but I am just not use to it. And about Fire Emblem, I haven't played 3 Houses because I don't like strategy games. I watched 1 let's play of the Blue Lions route and due to learning curve on how the game works, I just couldn't see myself getting into it. Gameplay for me will always be a deciding factor. Plus the game itself is LONG and I just don't feel like getting into franchises with long games. Heck, it's why I haven't tried other games like Persona 4 or 5 (3 I found triggering with the gun mechanic). When it comes to Husbandos (I am a straight female okay, I don't do Waifus lol), I honestly don't think I have a clear winner because while I have an ideal type, none have yet to really master exactly that description. Here are my qualifications for the Ultimate Husbando- 1. Protective Alpha Male type, 2. Blonde hair (hair hast to shoulder-length), 3. Blue eyes, 4. Tall, 5. Deep voice., 6. Semi-muscular. That first one is a must because I am an Alpha Female and I need someone that has a spine for I easily walk over guys. Heck one of my biggest pet peeves are momma's boys. There was one guy I knew who was like that who had a crush on me and asked me out. I felt bad, but said no thanks. I didn't tell him why though, the man was so weak-willed and had to call him mom at least once a day. Thank Goodness I learned about adult stuff the 'healthy way'. Like I had sex ed in the 5th grade (Thank God too because I started having 'issues' my 6th grade year before turning 12), but I didn't know ANY of the lingo until I was 19. I finally looked up the "Adult anime stuff" in my mid-20s lol. I actually didn't go to an cons until my early 30s and that was after college because at the time they weren't in my local area and when they did start up, I didn't go because of the price and the fact that I was too busy with college stuff. I miss going to cons too! I haven't been to one since this pandemic hit! I could have gone last year but I still didn't feel safe going to it. I'll try this year though, especially the one I actually volunteer at. It is my local anime con called San Japan and I am now a staff volunteer and while I have to work more hours, I get more benefits like free meals and room and board. My fav con experience was my 3 year volunteering though. I went to a panel called Who's Line is it Anime and got to be part of a skit that asked for volunteers. The game was you start a scene, but then after a few minutes, someone switches out with you (game has 2 people). You then have to completely change the scenario when you switch out. Well, when I was out there and it was time for a switch, this one girl who joins the stage with me, she changes the scene to do a 'workout regiment', telling me she was going to help me get into shape. Now, I am overweight, so I did not like hearing that, so I was like, "I'll show you", and so when I saw she wanted to do push ups, I did them in earnest since I knew how to do them correctly, so as I was doing them I could hear the crowd cheering for me. I do glance over at the girl and she was struggling to do one (I knew she was pretending to struggle), so it was very funny. One of the panel hosts then switched out with me and gave me a high five lol. That same con I also won 1st in the Mario Kart 8 tournament. Great memories. I honestly don't have any silly stories involving my parents when it comes to anime, but I do remember that I couldn't watch certain movies all the way through as a kid because of a 'bad scene'. One that comes to mind is Dirty Dancing. I watched the dance scenes and most of the movie, but not all of it. I always remembered when my mom said, "Okay Tiffany the bad scene is coming can you leave the room" or she'd stop and fast-forward it. One time she almost slipped up with the fast forward part and I saw a red lantern. She basically didn't want me to see the love scenes, and this whole time I thought it was violent scenes lol. I will say one thing that always makes me shake my head. To this day, even though she's heard the world so many times, she still can't say Pokemon right. She says "Poke-man" and I just want to bang my head against the wall lol.
I was lucky, cuz when I was in highschool in my group there was a lot of students that liked anime and I didn't really paid attention to the bullying. To be fair, I was part of a big group of friends and even the non anime fans in my group weren't bothered by my "weirdness". I was always talking about it, even about boys love, I had no SHAME. Still don't 🤣😂

I walk in we watched nanbaka on crunchyroll and host club i stayed till host club ended and i walk in the next day the club did their stuff and saw cosplay, hyperactive kids even seniors! I then just walked out and never looked back.
I forgot to add that after that i became sort of a closet weeb ofc i own anime hoodies and wore them but the people saw me as hes pretty odd but he isnt one of those cringe anime weebs.
