I noticed the line you where talking through the first of the two hairpins was a little off. You carried too much speed into the first part which meant you couldn’t get across to the other side for the next corner. If you can get across by taking a slightly comprised line into the first part, you would gain a few tenths in the second part by being able to take it flat (or at least close to flat depending on the capability of the kart you are given). What was the range of times? I can fairly regularly set high 26’s with a record of 26.5.
Thanks for that, will watch for it next time I go. This video leaving the pits was the first time I'd set out at Rochdale. Think that was yielding a 28, now on 27.1 but not done any full videos since, just clips in edits. Must be due another trip, January '20 was the last one 🏎️💨💨💨
I have just been to this track and was watching your video of the layout before i went, trying to learn the correct lines from you. a great video for people who want to get a good lap time. i also noticed you have your own gloves and helmet? i was a bit worried that i might look like a twit if i turn up in my own helmet and gloves, but sod it, I'm gonna get them now! I hope to see you there some time Thanks.
Glad it was of assistance. Loads of us run with our own gear 👍 If you're on Facebook there's a group of us that operate primarily across the North West, check us out at DADs Karting or for more videos on TH-cam search #DADsKarting.
It depends how the kart and track are feeling, but I get as wide as possible, aim to brake in a straight line on the start/finish line, then back on the power for turn in, keep as much grip as possible and let it run as wide as needed on exit.
Man I love TeamKarting

What sort of lap timings were you getting?
Mid 27s roughly with an odd low 27
@@thebadgerdadskarting3562 i lose alot of time on the bend straight after the finishing line..any tips??

It's the same principle I approach most corners, dab of brake in a straight line, back on the power to drive through the corner.
@@thebadgerdadskarting3562 cheers mate..shall try it on tuesday evening!
