love this style of POV, really like that there’s no music too so you can just hear what it would be like to actually drive it. love the in service drives, keep em up!
would love to see longer videos of full routes, keep them up though love the POV as im going to be a bus driver in the next month and find these great to watch
Thanks, I am still experimenting different things, an edited video with a bit of music specially at the start seems to perform much better than just a regular vid, I will do both for now, with edit and without but I am trying to figuring a way to share the full unedited trips, it's just that I can't upload on TH-cam twice because of copyrights, but maybe on a different website. I can't really hear much of the engine from inside the cab tbh maybe it's just quiet but the Mercedes Citaros definately sounds good
@@SALEH_4K_POV oh ok, I understand man it's your channel do what you wanna do to make it good for yourself. Btw citaro is a body made by mercedes not a engine. This bus uses mercedes OM934LA engine. Unfortunately the engine is abit quiet from some angels yeah, due to the exhaust muffler systems
Is it the policy of the bus station or by law you have to use hazards when reversing without a banksmen in a bus station? I noticed at Durham all bus’s when reversing out of the bays use hazard lights, and buses with large rear destination displays display a caution sign and ‘BUS REVERSING’ as the destination when pulling out
It's just the bus station policy/(safety reasons), I believe, as the buses have reversing lights to show that it's reversing so it makes no sense for hazards to be required by law.
@@SALEH_4K_POV That’s a very good point. When they put in the planning application for the station, they probably had to explain how they’d keep people safe if they use one way bus stands- and hazard lights when reversing is an easy solution Is requiring banksmen when reversing in public a law or also company policy? A few months ago a bus broke down in Durham in a one way bus gate, and the local bus company, along with another Go North East bus and an Arriva bus where stuck until the driver of the broken down bus stepped out and acted as a banksmen for the, to reverse into a small side road further back and then pull out the bus gate.
@@FateBoost Requiring a banksmen when reversing in public is definately a company policy and not the law because I was driving an official route in Oxford that covered a small village where it had a dead end/not accessible by bus, so we had to pull up at the stop on our left and then literally reverse into the road on our left to turn it back around, however all the buses on that route had a reversing camera fitted.
Do you always wait until your dead on time before you leave or do you ever leave a minute early from first stop? I noticed the time was on gold and you waited until that had gone off.
Hi, this is a job i really want to get sometime. i feel like in the video the steering looks heavy and you need to rotate the wheel lots for it to turn. is the steering actually heavy when driving the bus? or is that only on video. so jealous i love busses
It’s power steering so it’s as light as a normal car (where I used to work a tiny 5ft girl used to drive doubles with no problem) but yeah you do have to turn the wheel a lot more than in a normal car. I think it’s so you can be more precise so in a normal car you turn the wheel twice to full lock but in a bus/coach it could be 3 or 4 times to full lock
@@SwearingMuffin The one on the video (Streetdeck) is much heavier to steer than a car specially when pulling out of a bus stop but all the other buses (Enviro 200, EV, Volvo, Merc Citaro) they are almost as light as a car, perfect explanation of wheel turning

I don't think I've ever seen a wright without a fault light
About 70% of them always have them on
Oh you hit a pothole I guess you don't need power steering anymore (this has happened to me too many times 😒)
Time to become a drummer brother 🥁🎸😂
Like OMSI 2 game but in real life (including no freezes like in the game)
I like when he is waiting on something he is tapping the steering wheel to kill boredom 😂

I want to be a bus driver in GNW in the future as well, may I ask is everybody allowed to have POV carmers when driving? Thx
@MTR-DD-lx5sb Best of luck, cameras like go pros are 100% legal to use but the company don't like it and will tell you to stop.
Why shake the steering wheels? You are very nervous men.
Not nervous at all, I was counter steering because some buses turn when reversing if that's what your talking about (at the beginning of the vid)
This is where i live
Do you always wait until your dead on time before you leave or do you ever leave a minute early from first stop? I noticed the time was on gold and you waited until that had gone off.
When it's on gold, it means it's the last 60 seconds before I can leave (as soon as it turns black, I can leave), which is what I do
@@SALEH_4K_POV I work for Arriva and you can leave upto 1 minute early at timing points as it’s allowed by traffic commissioner
@Qwertyuiopasdfghjklzxcvbnm702 maybe it's different for my company here in Manchester or we're allowed but the company doesn't want us to
One question from a londoner why does the bus only have 1 door outside london like Manchester and Birmingham
Ya steering wheel seems so weird how u turn
Its like ya wheel twice to turn 😅
@StevenFay-ls7wx that's how buses/truck's steering wheel is so that you have more control on how much you want to turn
@@SALEH_4K_POV it's like even silly turns u have to really steer
Like it's soooo different to cars
5:20 bro went straight through a red light😂😂😂
It's the same lights, just one of them placed a little further just in case someone gets stuck, it's the first light that matters
He was already past the solid white line at amber, so even though it turned red he doesn't need to stop for the secondary lights
Stopping at this point would be incorrect (and more dangerous) given he had already passed the primary light correctly.
Would you recommend this as a career ? Is it a decent job ? Just got myself a traineeship ar stagecoach
Why buses in other cities of uk have only 1 door?it sucks and I hate it coz at stops it causes a slow boarding and exiting
