    Think its funny how USBC and many people credit Belmo with "revolutionizing" bowling with the 2 handed shot... yet we had Osku making the first show in the states between the 2...

    It's funny how Osku appears on tv before Belmo, and yet Belmo still gets the credit for introducing the style. Obviously there is a reason, Belmo just has more success as Osku. I think Osku is more recognized for this School Zone speed limit breaking spare shooting. Belmo being recognized for having the world record major titles, and by alot.

    I prefer Osku because of his one hand delivery. He is more versatile in my opinion and has a better attitude.

    Osku Palermaa was the first two-handed bowler before Jason Belmonte.

      Yep. Also before he’s a StormNation Bowler, he’s part of EBI and now he’s back with EBI along Brunswick acquiring the company after he hang up the contract from Storm.

    Yeah, I mean its amazing to think that Osku is one of top ranked players in the world and is only 25. Hopefully we see him in the pba this year besides trick shots.

    Would 0:14 be the first televised 2-handed shot?

      @firemarblefilms ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, it was. I don’t think Osku gets the level of credit he deserves for what he’s done for 2 handed bowling. He made his first TV appearance a few years before Belmonte. While Belmo is definitely the more influential due to his success, Osku still deserves credit.

    @SonWayward thats too true. However, after this telecast, Osku kind of fell out of the spot light. When belmo went on tour he kept at it and made telecasts. Thats why he recieved most publicity. Either way we have yet to see an American two hander =).

    @SonWayward true, but Belmo was the first person to actually win with this approach.

    @mrtvmankiller01 FYI Osku won one of the WSOB events in Las Vegas.

    @TheMusicjuice Well he hasn't actually been an exempt player until this coming season, he barely bowled half the events last year and that was the most he has bowled I believe.

    This is not his first time on TV... Maybe first time on American TV.

    I wonder how heavy Palermaa's spare ball is. It can't be anything higher than 14 lbs, especially if it travels 30 mph down the lane. Unless they are measuring ball speed at the heads or something.

    @stormBIGbowling It kind of looks like the old Blue Hammer? I know how unlikely that is, but that's what it looks like to me. I'd be rather impressed if he was actually using an old urethane playing that line, though.

    Maybe more power, but then again Belmo can control it more than osku can.

  • @Michaelpruis
    @Michaelpruis 13 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    @jewbowl225 Indeed that is true, however Belmo was receiving huge publicity from the tour even before he won... and now that Osku has also won Jason still fetches more attention from the tour and general media, somewhat unfair, but what yah gunna do I guess

  • @lareinadelcandycrush
    @lareinadelcandycrush 14 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    @aarhead13 Belmo is the best 2-handed bowler in this world....

  • @lareinadelcandycrush
    @lareinadelcandycrush 13 ปีที่แล้ว

    @aarhead13 I don't say Palermaa is bad never, but i prefer watch Jason Belmonte...is more "cool" but he's also impressive

    @IveGotYourChange *sigh* this comment makes me sad. Ive been worrying about the tour for awhile, and this brought up those feelings again. I was never hoping to be a pro bowler, but the fall of the PBA will seem like the beginning of the end for all competetive bowling. The industry is dying. So sad, and I'm 16 =(. But regarding the whole foriegn bowling thing, that is true. Wendy Macpherson is having success in Japan after the PWBA folded in 2003. Lets hope they can pull through.

    This must have been before Jason Belmonte hit the scene. Their strike ball deliveries are near identical.

    More power does not translate into being better.... Belmo has been consistently ranked higher than Palerma in world tours.

  • @Saskman73

    they say belmo started it because Osku has zero charisma zero personality and almost zero success
