Btw, this was only the 3rd time Simeone's Atletico conceded 4 goals in a 90 minutes UCL match...and ALL of those matches took place in Germany.

I cant belive people havnt said nothing about the new champions league format . If you actually take time to look at it . The new format actually helps the bigger clubs get through to the knockout . They dont want knock out games with lesser teams . So in short they only people that will even have a chance to get to the final are gonna be the same 6 teams season in season out . Its gatekeeping

It's actually...the other way around.
1st pot teams did not have to play against other 1st pot teams before KO phases...now they will. 4th pot teams did not have the chance of playing other 4th pot teams in order to gather some "easier" points...now they will. It will, indeed, be harder for smaller teams to reach the RO16, as they will have to play an additional play-off, but that's still one more chance compared to narrowly missing 2nd place in a group. Having to play 2 additional matches against teams from your own pot will favor the best performing teams in pots 3 and 4.

2011/12: Bayern Munich and Chelsea played in the Final after beating Real Madrid and Barcelona, respectively, in the semifinal.
2014/15: Juventus beat Real Madrid in the semifinal.
On all of 3 instances, Real Madrid, Barcelona, and Bayern Munich were always in the semifinal stage!
Also, the 2014/15 might be the closest time El Clasico happened in the UCL Final. Real Madrid only need just a 1-0 win to knock Juventus on away goal, which wasn't happened after Alvaro Morata's equaliser in the 2nd leg at Bernabeu.

The only one I'm confident on is Atletico over Dortmund.
Psg have a much better squad over Barca and really shouid be brushing them aside, but I don't know, I wanna go with the fun option of barca knowing it's less likely. To be fair, psg shouldn't have even made it out the group, so who knows what's more likely.
I believe Arsenal are focused too heavily on the league for them to overcome a bayern side who, yes have performed less than adequately this season, but have a great tournament coach who's won this before and it's all the club have to play for. Plus, Kane always performs against Arsenal.
Lastly, as much as I don't want to say it, I think Madrid will win this tie against City. They're running away with la liga and City have to dig in hard to win the league this year and are also still in the fa cup. Yes, City were in a much similar situation last year, but they're not preforming to the same standards, especially not Haaland.
So that means I would have atletico vs barca and bayern vs madrid in the semis, in which I choose atletico to advance and, uh, honestly no clue between bayern and madrid. Uhh, bayern I guess cuz, idk. Then atletico win it cuz, that'd be nice to see as a fun option plus Kane curse.
Psg only has Mbappe otherwise Barcelona has better players in almost every position
