Brilliant game. I was at the draw in Limerick and this game in the Páirc. I have this game on VHS, recorded at the time from the Sunday Game and wore out the tape, I watched it so much growing up throughout the 80's. A brilliant, tough, hard game. Old style hurling. Great players on both sides. Ger Cunningham, Dermot McCurtain, Tom Cashman, John Fenton, JBM, the late Seanie O'Leary. Limerick had the late Tommy Quaid and Leonard Enright, Mossy Carroll Joe McKenna and Eamonn Cregan. Great memories of great times!!! Rebels Abú!

Way better hurling than todays pedestrian/robotic style. This was so exciting,a great match,lovely ground hurling and of course the clash of the ash. Amen.

What a crowd in attendance, every walkway packed😁 Must have been upwards of 50,000 there.
