It's a shame that he's still so egotistical about the band and his music. Regardless of whether or not it was a publicity stunt, it was nice that he at least tried to get the original players all together again. He's probably the one to blame for D'Arcy's absence, as I wouldn't trust his word as much as hers, considering he was always a dick to her and the other band members. But when they're all there playing... the crowd goes wild.

Matt Sevrens yeah...in the studio it was not just 3 guitars. Billy was notorious for using multiple guitar overdubs...so yes, I agree that 3 guitars sound really great especially at a live show.
Siamese Dream had a shitload of guitar tracks overdubbed on many of the songs, so to sound the same live takes at least a few. I'm surprised it sounds so good with only 3 guitars. Listen to SD cranked up loud. You here something different every time. Still my favorite album of all time. Can't wait to see them in San Diego.
Just seen them and your 100% correct along with the keys too live every little guitar and key embellishment was all there it was something special also did not realize how big this tour was also they had 6 tour busses 2 main ones and also 6 semi trucks this along with just a very few others are the biggest tours of this summer only other I can think of is foo fighters or maybe some pop star but they really went all out
I love Billy's playing, but you're miscasting John Mayer. He's a monster blues guitar player. Check out his trio album or his appearances on Eric Clapton's Crossroads concerts. He does play pop stuff as well (and that earns him his money), but he's a monster player.
