Yes, she’s the queen of fashion (supermodel, designer, editor, agent, entrepreneur, and the list goes on), but she is soooo much more than that. She’s a producer, an amazing host, a mentor of young talent, an activist, a queen, an icon, a trailblazer who opened SO many doors and yet continues to open new doors every day and is killing it out there better than most of these 20 year olds running around. She also has a lot of friendships spanning almost her entire life and her friends have such love and loyalty to her which speaks volumes about the type of friend and person she is. Not to mention the woman hasn’t aged a day since 1990. Let’s face it, WE ARE NOT WORTHY, Ms. Campbell!!!

Well, before a lot of women in order to become supermodel had not only to endure traveling alone from a country to another starting from an age of 13 or 14, to go from an agency to another... but for a lot of them (as models usually come from poor families) had to sleep with men (photographer, publisher in a magazine, a rich business men, a celebrity..) in order to ascend in the industry and be recommended, find jobs, and have media coverage. It was not about the talent alone as there is a lot of beautiful poor women who want to be models but about the opportunity... basically let him use you so that you ll use him, his money os status...
At least today, most of the supermodels like the hadid sisters or the kendall come from already rich families. They are basically beautiful powerful women who need no men to ascend in the industry. It s certainly true that today at least thanks to social media like instagram a lot of women are liberated and can work as models without enduring the tough reality that the normal models had to endure 10 years ago
