Is that chipper unit dropped all the way even with the ground? I've read that it is very important for it to be solid. Even if it requires a pallet or adding drop down feet. I say this bekuzz it looked like it was swaying a bit. I myself plan on buying the same unit and I've been really studying it's use by many TH-cam channels. Hence watching your vid in order to learn. Anyways, I'm not trying to harp with negativity. I just want to learn as much as I am able from all kornera. Happy days from NorKal USA.

Hi Toni! One question. I own a similar Chipper like you, different name, but the same. What rpm at the pto works best for you?
If I have spruce or birch to chipp, and run it only at 540 rpm she clogs sometimes. With higher rpm (620) it works better. Stay safe!

Good point about the higher rpm and clogging. Many people buy the BX42S not realizing that it works better at speeds above 540. My tractor is just about max rpm at 540 which is why I'm going for a hydraulic feed unit. I've seen plenty of videos of the BX42S operator spending lots of time just trying to get one branch fed and chipped when a hydraulic feed machine could have chipped up 3 or more branches in the same amount of time. And that doesn't include the time to unclog the flywheel housing occassionally.

@@sideskraft Thank you. This is all rather new to me. What example of 'hydraulic unit' would you say? I have a mini tractor: Iseki TX1300 15HP.
