Good you did a good work by selecting dwmosthenes. Demosthanes is one iof the greatest orators of the world. He took great sacrifice to become a super public speaker. He shaved half of head to avoid the temptation of going out. He put two hanging swords on either sides so that. If he raised hands toomuch hands would touch sharp sword.. He fixed two spears on both sides. If he lowered hand s too much his hand would touch the sharp knife. Thus he learned correct gestures. He motivated people by making garlands with flowers of words people who heard his super high voltage speeches went to change the society.

Its like a knight or a warrior motivating a weak army to fight till the end ............... It reminds me of Sultan Mehmet who conquered Constantinopole(present day Istanbul, Turkey) from the mighty Romans in 1453 .............. He was a great orator and very very brave who motivated the army to never give up till they break the walls of the city and take the palace & its valuable possessions. The siege lasted for 5 months and the Romans had everything to defend the city but God loved the Sultans determination & gave victory to his army. This also gave rise to the "Ottoman dynasty" in Europe who ruled from 1453-1920. They were quite ruthless towards the end of thier rule thereby they lost everything they had earned ................... God loves brave and deterministic people, he uses them to establish peace on this planet. But even if they go astray and start committing atrocities he will strip them of thier power & pass it on to a lesser known tribe ................... History is full of such incidents & stories ....................... but Dr Arathi's story was very inspiring since the boy stood alone for his rights ...............

Going by the narrative, Demosthenes was not a Philosopher as the title of this video suggests, instead he was an eloquent Orator, Lawyer and a Statesman, but the speaker (Dr Arathi) is so elegant and beautiful 🙂

Fact check: Demosthenes, the greatest orator of the ancient world, lived from 384-322 BC. So he lived in 4th cen. BC. King George V lived from 1865-1936. King George VI lived from 1895-1952. Demosthenes was advisor to which king? He was an Athenian. Athens was a democracy and did not have any particular individual ruler at the time. 2. Supplementary facts: The ruler living closest to Athens was King Philip of Macedonia, whom Demosthenes heartily opposed. Alexander the Great, Philip's son: he publicly opposed and spoke against him whenever he felt necessary. Alexander's local successor Antipater pursued Demosthenes to punish him for his lifelong opposition to the two rulers' policy. He ended his own life to escape arrest by Antipater's forces.

Good you did a good work by selecting dwmosthenes. Demosthanes is one iof the greatest orators of the world. He took great sacrifice to become a super public speaker. He shaved half of head to avoid the temptation of going out. He put two hanging swords on either sides so that. If he raised hands toomuch hands would touch sharp sword.. He fixed two spears on both sides. If he lowered hand s too much his hand would touch the sharp knife. Thus he learned correct gestures. He motivated people by making garlands with flowers of words people who heard his super high voltage speeches went to change the society.

Its like a knight or a warrior motivating a weak army to fight till the end ...............
It reminds me of Sultan Mehmet who conquered Constantinopole(present day Istanbul, Turkey) from the mighty Romans in 1453 .............. He was a great orator and very very brave who motivated the army to never give up till they break the walls of the city and take the palace & its valuable possessions. The siege lasted for 5 months and the Romans had everything to defend the city but God loved the Sultans determination & gave victory to his army. This also gave rise to the "Ottoman dynasty" in Europe who ruled from 1453-1920. They were quite ruthless towards the end of thier rule thereby they lost everything they had earned ...................
God loves brave and deterministic people, he uses them to establish peace on this planet. But even if they go astray and start committing atrocities he will strip them of thier power & pass it on to a lesser known tribe ...................
History is full of such incidents & stories ....................... but Dr Arathi's story was very inspiring since the boy stood alone for his rights ...............

Going by the narrative, Demosthenes was not a Philosopher as the title of this video suggests, instead he was an eloquent Orator, Lawyer and a Statesman, but the speaker (Dr Arathi) is so elegant and beautiful 🙂

1. Fact check:
Demosthenes, the greatest orator of the ancient world, lived from 384-322 BC. So he lived in 4th cen. BC.
King George V lived from 1865-1936.
King George VI lived from 1895-1952.
Demosthenes was advisor to which king? He was an Athenian. Athens was a democracy and did not have any particular individual ruler at the time.
2. Supplementary facts:
The ruler living closest to Athens was King Philip of Macedonia, whom Demosthenes heartily opposed.
Alexander the Great, Philip's son: he publicly opposed and spoke against him whenever he felt necessary.
Alexander's local successor Antipater pursued Demosthenes to punish him for his lifelong opposition to the two rulers' policy.
He ended his own life to escape arrest by Antipater's forces.
It was an inadvertent error from the Speaker's side but thanks for sharing the detailed history. The moot point here, this was not a history lesson but a motivational session.
