Hey Leslie! I think since those guys don’t wear make up, it may be kinda hard to wing it that way! Lol but really, I’m glad you did show us all the second and triple guessing you did… And it occurred to me while you were explaining that, with the benefit might be. And I’ve always thought this way about digital art, that it is great for figuring things out so that when you actually do sit down to do a traditional piece, of course, with the same subject or a picture in mind, that you’ve already worked out those issues. So if you were to do this again in watercolor, you would know exactly what to do without second-guessing it or messing it up! And I really hope you’re not getting sick, all the hard work and diligence may be kind of wearing you down a bit… So take care of yourself and get lots and lots of sleep! 😉🙏❤️🕊️✨
Hahaha that is so true and what's funny is I REALLY noticed with this picture how much I rely on the makeup theory so not being able to use that AS much was definitely something to work around haha! YES EXACTLY!!! I truly tried making art for SO MANY YEARS but would always give up because I really lacked the confidence to even simply practice it. But then when I got my iPad and could do things digitally and correct things without as much worry THAT is when I really started wanting to practice more and make more art. And then I could actually understand more why something didn't work out and what needed to be done to make it better. And since then I have really enjoyed traditional art more because of what digital was able to help me with. You are so right! Totally nailed that thought process!!! And I like that we are kind of thinking the same way 🥰 Thank you so much! Sleep hasn't been going so well for me but I am actually feeling a LOT better today! But I definitely plan that once vlogmas is over I will be giving myself a bit of a break before 2025 haha ❤❤🥰
And also your message about the one bad piece, really hits home today! I persisted with an oil painting class, it was three sessions, and I was really actually embarrassed by my final painting!!! I just don’t like oil paint, but I thought I could do anything with any medium, and it was a really humbling experience… Turns out I just don’t like oil paint lol and I guess that’s OK :-) but it was just sad that I thought I would be good at it and I thought I would like it and I just wasn’t! Lol
I TOTALLY get this!!!! This was my with acrylic! It always seems like if I can make one type of art I should be able to make all other types but that is just not true and like you said it can be VERY humbling. The fact that you pushed through those classes regardless is really inspiring!! Plus it might be one of those things that for now you just really don't care to try it again but maybe 3 years from now you will be more interested again and then you will have already done the classes and learned the techniques so you already have that under your belt!! I really love that and I think it is AWESOME that you took a class like that!!!
