In general it can be for airwalks, for boomerangs, for comets, for flashstep, for speedcounters, for basically anything that involves a fast action with your fingers but that most macro users are just too lazy to practice these kinda things. But for this specific video it's a flashstep macro. As mentioned in a response to another comment, this guy's been doing this towards the wall for 10 minutes straight and any normal human being would get wrist or finger pain before that time so yeah...
