Thanks for sharing this. I was there. I'd just discovered The Last Waltz and was obsessed with this song. Was psyched to see the Dead play it. So painful to learn of Brent's death two days later while the music was still ringing in my ears. RIP
I almost got run over by the caravan of vans and limos carrying the band right after the show. They definitely beat the crowd out of the venue on their way to the airport.
