+RetSquid It's not a question of legality. I doubt those were even real cops. You flash a badge and swing your dick around, most people are going to acquiesce, and fast. Which of course is the point. We're led to believe the only way to challenge this kind of thing is in court. THEIR court. The same court that ostensibly sided with them enough to issue said "waver of human dignity" in the first place. The very thought of direct resistance? Would you get into a fist fight with a tank? Or at least...what APPEARED to be a tank? it's always easier to say they should have challenged them from the comfort of ones home, viewing a video rather than being part of something unexpected.
RetSquid It's never brought up in the video, and I don't know the story well enough to say one way or the other. Maybe. These people don't really go in for much of that "Assuming themselves to be under the law they wield" kind of thing, so I'm tempted to believe not, but all it takes is one judge and one favor.
+Gladius Acer Seriously ?? Kewl, I like it. I was raised as a Mormon and I'd gladly punch a Scientologist square in the face if they ever tried that confrontational in your face shit that they like to do " Strike me and I'll get you sent to jail " bullshit. " Fine, off to jail I go you goofy fucker with you sporting a fat lip and a black eye ". Yeah, I was raised Mormon, but I'm a rogue Mormon. lol
+Johnny Fartpants It's a symptom of trying to out-respect each other. A lot of people take enormous pride in working with law enforcement, even and especially when it's not in their best interests to do so. It's what makes them "patriots" and "good people". I suspect it's also a clever way of not having to face the idea of armed would-be executioners rifling through your shit on a whim really means to the rest of their life.
Andy, Andy, Andy. Your racist comment may be the lowest you've made so far. What a sterling example you are as a Scientologist. Of course, your founder (L. Ron Hubbard) was himself very famously racist...so you have not strayed too far from your Source. watch?v=YFbkzqfIflQ
Go into a church, ask the priest/minister what Christianity is about, they'll sit down with you, explain and show stuff from the Bible. Go into a mosque, ask the imam what Islam is about, they'll sit down with you, explain and show stuff from the Quran. Go into a synagogue, ask the Rabbi what Judaism is about, they'll sit down with you, explain and show stuff from the Torah. Scientology? They'll sell you books and courses, and duck simple questions.
+Trust me, i'm an expert on this They have a court order and on top of that being he was in Scientology I believe he is still brain washed to believe they're more powerful than they truly are. A simple you're not coming into my home until I've read the 600+ pages of the court order, hire a lawyer, and have a police presence here would have sufficed to not let them in. There is absolutely no way anyone would have reasonable time to read that stack of legal papers nor understand all of it without a legal background.
SCD4 Agreed. Sadly, those within Scientology are brainwashed to believe that certain groups within the organization have authority they don't actually have. I wouldn't have let anyone in my home without a court order, police presence, my own legal representation, and only after my own lawyer had read through that ridiculous legal document.
There was one policeman there at the initial knock and enter and once in all the rest followed and it looks like sheer numbers swamped him and didn't give him time to think.
How in the hell did a judge approve this warrant? It sounds to me that that particular judge should have been brought up on Judicial Imprudence.
In the corrupt state of California you can’t win when they are on the Cults payroll ! Also the state of Florida was purchased by the cult !
HotaruZoku
I'm not saying he did anything wrong, just wondering if they had legal access.
RetSquid
It's never brought up in the video, and I don't know the story well enough to say one way or the other. Maybe. These people don't really go in for much of that "Assuming themselves to be under the law they wield" kind of thing, so I'm tempted to believe not, but all it takes is one judge and one favor.
Please tell me what the outcome was of this situation? It may have been public in America but it wasn't here in Australia.
+Shazzy Deal He sued and got a settlement.
Yeah, I was raised Mormon, but I'm a rogue Mormon. lol
ReneeNme yass fuck them up!
ReneeNme You , Sir, are Cool. You're a Cool Guy. I like you. 🙋🙋👏👏👍👍💯💯
ReneeNme Please Forgive Me if by *ANY* chance, I offend you by my comment (i.e. sir, guy, etc.). * I PROMISE IT IS A COMPLIMENT! 💯💯💯💯💯💯💯
Ahhh I can't believe how dirty $cientology is and where's the american justice??? Does anybody know what happened next with that case?
When is the Church of Scientology going to be prosecuted? How much can they get away with.
This would not be allowed in the UK,the USA is fucked up.
Johnny Fartpants Nor in Australia What Fking Law Is That.
Johnny Fartpants Nor in Australia What Fking Law Is That.
VisualWolf I know,The USA is fucked.
*****
Church lawyers. Talk about unholy union.
Go into a church, ask the priest/minister what Christianity is about,
they'll sit down with you, explain and show stuff from the Bible.
Go into a mosque, ask the imam what Islam is about, they'll sit down
with you, explain and show stuff from the Quran.
Go into a synagogue, ask the Rabbi what Judaism is about, they'll sit
down with you, explain and show stuff from the Torah.
Scientology? They'll sell you books and courses, and duck simple questions.
Why people who stand up against this cult appear so adequate and genuine. This sharply contrasts to the evilness and stupidity of the other side.
What gives them the right to be on your property let alone 'raid' it? I don't get it. Surely they could only do this if you let them.
Where is law enforcement with then. No law, the door stays closed.
Scientology just a F,ing money making cult followed by MORONS 😅😅
This is horrifying! !
I hope these people were arrested.
