I was courting a wonderful lady back then who had a job as a DJ at a country western radio station and she introduced me to country music. The music from that era, and further back, always makes me feel at peace, like I'm home, kinda like the feeling I have after a good Sunday sermon. Tears are falling like rain down my face as I listen to this song...as a kid whenever I was sick or couldn't sleep, my mom would sing Rock of Ages and how that would soothe my soul...she went to be with her Lord & Savior on January 25, 2020...oh how I miss her :-(
