HOW TO use Hilti CF-DS 1 / CF-DS L dispensing guns and foam

CF-DS 1 and CF-DS L (extended barrel) are foam dispensers with a lightweight and ergonomic design, the ideal solution for heavy users who work long hours . The longer barrel of the CF-DS L allows you to reach the places which are hard to insulate.
For cleaning the ideal solution is Hilti CFR 1, a cleaner that removes fresh foam from most of surfaces and from the dispenser.

Probably didn't mention not to remove can from gun unless empty. Just thru one to waste doing that. Will spill out if you remove it from the gun before emptying it.

Saved me a world of pain... I almost did that over my wife's freshly decorated patio. I'll wait until it's empty.

@@bill4123 yeah. Those things are strange because if you leave them on the gun I believe for over a month they will harden and clog the gun. I think Hilti is aimed more towards the industrial use were you will run through multiple cans in minutes. For home and diy use I believe the home depot cans will do, they're quite inexpensive too.

They're cleanable though. Even if it fills dry you can disassemble it

@@JVBL1 you can break it down, I've had to do it. Remove the top can holder, then use a flat blade screwdriver to remove the adjustable back. Once that is free you can push the tab down and the handle slides out the back. The trigger is pressure fit, press both sides in with a flat screwdriver and pull it out straight down.
The front black plate is pressure fit, a flat blade screwdriver will pop it free. The entire barrel assembly will pop out at that point. The barrel screws into a large nut which you can remove with vice grips (I'd grip where the barrel changes sizes because the solely hollow part of the barrel can get crushed)
