    awesome machine Tom, I have a 2000 jeep cherokee xj with nearly 200k i have become very fond of and keep sinking money into. even though its old and seen better days it fits me so well and i have not found anything new that comes close to what i already have. so i have come to accept putting money into my jeep still when it needs fixing. old doesn't necessarily mean not worth fixing such as the case with your drott. some things to some people are worth the efforts. cant wait to see the drott come out of retirement and put back into useful service once again on your farm. keep up the great channel Tom, very inspirational!

    She's looking good and purring like a kitten. No matter the money, hell you can't take it with you anyway, there is such a great deal of pride and satisfaction that comes with bringing an old classic back to life. In today's throw away world the '59 International is one of those machines, built when machines were built in America by American hands, that you and J.R. have brought back and given a new lease on life. Ain't no greater feeling in the world. Hopefully the T340 will know the labor of love that went in to it and the Old International will give you many years of faithful service.
    Happy New Year!

    • @tnoel374
      @tnoel374  7 ปีที่แล้ว

    At the very least you know what you have and you can be confident that the International will probably end up being a very reliable piece of equipment for the money you have into it. I’ve learned a long time ago that it’s not always best to buy the latest and greatest as far as equipment goes. Good luck in the New Year!

    Tom Your Drott has turned out absolutely outstanding. Yes you spent a lot of money and time. It's one of a kind, low low hours and it's yours. All you need for the farm and another tool that you can turn money. It can last another 57 years even if you have to park it in your living room. I still gotta get you a grease gun and a 🍺 beer holder for it and you'll be all set. Happy New Year Tom

    • @tnoel374

    I think you did pretty good. A bull dozer today would be 150,000. That thing is like new when you think about it . New hydro lines, wich are expensive, new wiring , good tracks , I guess the motor would be considered rebuilt. You made out well. For 20,000 you can find a skid steer that has over 4,000 hr. Old hydro lines with the same motor that is coming to the end of its life spans. I study equipment and this is a good deal
