Hello i have a question can you download xbox 360 games using a flash drive i have a hard drive but when is put it in my xbox it doesn't work so im asking can you download xbox 360 games using a usb flash drive
Some games actually load slower if you install them on the hard drive due to them using it as a data cache. Halo 3 and GTA V are a couple of examples off the top of my head.
One more thing I want to add to backwards compatibility. If you want to play your original Xbox games you will need an official Xbox 360 Hard drive, you can't use an aftermarket made one. I believe it's because that's where the emulation software is located. I ended up finding this out the hard way.
Glad to see you again Harry! Just want to add a little extra tidbit to your installing games tip if you've replaced a laser burn copy of a game. If it still reads on your Xbox 360 as "Play Game", keep it! You can use your clean copy to install the game, then use the laser burn copy to launch it. Thus further preserving your clean copy of the game, and putting your old scratched disc to use! I will probably make a small video about it soon with my new GoPro. Happy new year to you buddy, again it's great to see you back!

Lol the best trick is you can use external hdd on it to run games from. It also works for flash drives. So you don’t need an internal one from xbox i have a 1 tb external on mine.God its not a tip to say you can run old xbox games the only thing is you have to have a Microsoft official hdd.

I just wish they added widescreen support for original XBOX emulation on the 360. The original XBOX has widescreen on many games, the 360 just defaults to 4:3 with no option to change that.

What I hate. Is that u need an original harddrive in order to play those games. Which sucks. Because those hardrives are fucking expensive. Why could they have place a update to use other non xbox hardrives thar are portable to play original xbox games. We know u can use them to store and download your games. Gives your console more storage. But not able to play any original xbox games. I don't want to spend alot of money just to buy a hardrive to play original games. I would just stick to 360 games. And keep using my 1tb portable hardrive that I got for 28 usd.
