I used to fish around Sharps Island light for weakfish. Oyster-crackers were a common by-catch. There was a lady fisher who would swap a weakie for a toadfish! She loved them. I tried them and she was right, very good!
That’s it….I’m doing it for my next show. I’m always inadvertently catching those guys and have always wondered about them. Thanks for the confidence!! Just subbed too. Tights lines homie.
They are delicious. People are always afraid of what they don't understand. These fish are top dollar in international food markets. Please don't respond with racist remarks.
In the last couple of years has appeared plenty of them here in Brazil, I guess they are taking others fish space as the amount of other species has decreased. 😢 I tried to catch n cook one of them, however I noticed that after 4-5 hours outside of the water it was still alive! Do I have to finish it as soon as I catch? Do you have any advise?
Good to see you be the guinea pig, I would never have tried them Now, if they were only 20 lbs in size - great fight with some large chunks of white meat. Cheers!

Honestly some of the most delicious fish are also the most hideous - think about monkfish or Chilean Sea Bass
When it comes to sea food I like halibut, crab, and cod, I don't know if I would have tried the toadfish, Your braver than I would have been.
😂 well they were pretty tasty to be honest, definitely will keep a few on a slower day
Are these poisonous ? Just caught one in old Tampa bay
No
Nice! I was planning on doing a catch and cook with them too and now i feel more confident trying one lol
Yeah they were pretty good, honestly surprised

They live out of water for a decent amount of time, you can put them down humanely
Good job, any scrap I have from fishing or small game hunting gets put on a log in my field for the critters. Hopefully a hawk or owl.
👍👍👍

According to my research they actually have some decent cheek meat too
I thought toad fish are poisonous and not edible, but this video proves me wrong.👍

I never knew about these until i accidentally caught one crabbing and it had like half the chicken leg in its mouth
Good eating 👀
I caught one of those today and was interested If anyone has cooked them. Now I might have to get a few
Honestly not bad of an eating fish
Brown gold, i smiled so hard.
🤣
Maybe you dull your knife more by sawing a brick in half so the you could really make a mess cleaning a fish just saying...
👍
