Not really, the river cruise was, essentially, something that we have seen a t least a good chunk of what it would be as there had been plans for it which did get folded into the River Adventure ride that Universal made for their parks a couple years later...which combines with the book about reasons for the delays such as the pterosaur issue

Interesting that in all this theory crafting, you make no reference to the original book which sheds some light on the matter. The lagoon in question is in the psoropod (forgive the spelling) paddock with the triceratops. Allan and the children actually wind up taking a raft to escape from Rexy and get chased across the lagoon by Rexy before a juvenile Rex comes to steal Rexy's kill so Rexy turns back to chase them away. The "Jungle Cruise" ride mentioned in the CD rom was actually suspended because it turns out that the dilophosaurs (the ones who kill Nedry) love to hang out along the river bank and the fences aren't far enough back from the bank to prevent them hitting passengers on the river with their toxic spit. Incidentally, in the book the Costa Rican government has a much more logical response at the end where minutes after the survivors are evacuated, the military goes in and firebombs the island, wiping out the population. Also, the nerd in me can't help asking: how's a mosquito or fly supposed to get blood from an aquatic animal to preserve it for cloning?
I think in the book, Dr wu mentioned that they had a way to get proteins from fossilized bone and retranslate it into DNA. Or not, I think I heard that in a video or something a little ways back
ingen had incredibly advanced methods of cloning and genetic manipulation. they could pull from fossilized bone and preserved dna in amber. however they also just filled in any gaps with other animals DNA. Its why the Rex has trouble seeing stationary animals, due to its amphibian DNA. Ian Malcolm makes a good point in the book that these arent even really dinosaurs, but genetic experiments made to be freakish and awe inspiring, not accurate.
Just spit balling here but since they are air breathers they have to surface to breathe and while at the surface a mosquito could then land on them and suck their blood. Another way is supposed they got beached much as happens from time to time with whales and other large aquatic creatures today and while they were still alive but stuck on the beach a mosquito then sucked it's blood.
I'm pretty sure the reason Spielberg canceled the animated series is the same reason he canceled the fourth movie AND didn't touch the franchise again until AFTER Crichton died and that was because when he made the third movie Crichton got angry and threatened legal action if Spielberg continued to try and steal the franchise as he had with 100% of everything else he ever made.

oh there is loads...honestly there could have been a whole other film between JP 2 and JP III about how the Spinosaurus got there. this is the great thing about classics like Jurassic Park, Terminator, Back to the Future, Ghostbusters...the more they develop and grow the more interesting they get.
The plesiosaur scene is probably pulled from the part of the book where the T-Rex chases Tim , Lex, and Allen in the inflatable boat. If only they had the technology to depict the T-Rex accurately swimming back then it would’ve been awesome in the original movie. I’m just about sure they cut that because of technological capabilities.
Unfortunately, the lagoon shown on the map is covered as not having anything in it with stuff in cannon...it has a major plot point in the Evolution of Claire book which is still in the timeline due to various things with it. It would actually be incredibly fitting if a goldfish with a common and harmless disease that would never kill anything in the modern ecosystem ended up destroying the entire plesiosaur population. Show that while the Cretaceous world was dangerous the modern one is just as alien to them.
I don't believe it would be a mosasaurus cause it would be difficult for the people who came to collect dinosaurs to safely go in the lagoon to find out

isn't the lagoon where the marine exhibit was (see jurassic park; the game made by telltale games.) (spoilers alert) for those who have played the Jurassic park game that was set after jurassic park 1 but before #2, still on isla nublar. it primarily circulated around a plot involving Dr Laura Sorkin, obtaining the shaving cream and evacuating survivors left behind...there were a few new dinosaurs seen in the game most notably the Troodon and Mosasaur (which was in the marine exhibit). JP Timeline: JP 1 (Isla Nublar) JP the Game (Isla Nublar) JP 2 (Isla Sorna) JP III (Isla Sorna) Jurassic World (Isla Nublar) JW Fallen Kingdom (Isla Nublar & Mainland) JW Dominion (Mainland)

They already developed the ride at Universal Studios to be based on that scene so my guess is they were leaving it open to be featured in a sequel. (They were also developing a Jeep ride as a phase 2 expansion in the park but it never got built, pretty fitting.)
My theory is there is a mausasaurus also. And that is the mausasaurus we see in jurassic world. They just caught it out of the lagoon then moved it to the tank.
Back when the og JP came out, in 1993, I got the big foldout board game as a bday gift. That lagoon, and a decent sized lake are both on it, both in the North areas. I still have it. It came with multiple raptors and a T-Rex figurine.
What if they had a massive water tank where the same white shark as in Jaws lived, however due to a park incident Jaw managed to get out to sea, or they choise to realise him. The reason why they chose to breed a White shark was to test if they could handle having a Meg and they where planing to use White shark genes for Meg.
In the BOOK, they devote a conversation about the power supply: InGen developed a geothermal power plant. It’s never brought up in the sequel book, however.
Hello 👋 I’m new, and I have a quick question. How did INGEN acquire aquatic Dino DNA? We all know that land animals were acquired from mosquitoes, but how did they get the aquatic ones?
for those who played Jurassic park the game in 2011 on the ps3 or Xbox 360 there is actual scenes and footage of the black lagoon and these mosasaur like creatures in the game towards the end of it
The sea creature from CC couldn't be in the lagoon because in CC Henry Wu said that the Scorpios Rex was the first of his hybrids, which means that it was probably made before the lagoon
Personally, I wouldn't have been surprised if it were a Megalodon. The Meg movies have overplayed it, but it could have been a truly mind-blowing exhibit.
Determining cannonicity is tricky with JP. There is a lot of media and splits. In the book we get to see the river ride and seceet facilities compound enterence behind a waterfall, linking a good deal of the attractions. The river also runs through a good deal of the island areas, creating a natural border the opperatirs can also use as a means to travel between them. Inferedly, the lagoon would be connected ss well thoygh one is not mentioned in there as far as i am aware. The telltale game acts as a midquil of the movie and links more of the book details. For instance, the amusment rides, Wu not being the origional lead geneticist, the albino rapter (made into the troodons in the game) and more. At the end of the game we DO see this lagoon faciilty where the origional head genetisist is held out. Not only do we learn she is responsible for the dinosaurs' cure of thier lysene dependency and the escape of the troodons but she had created a mosasaur for the lagoon. She took the main characters (us) as hostages to negotiate with the millitary to not bomb the island. She was an ex hippie who felt a very motherly role to the dinos and thus her suppresed eco terrorist came out in an attempt to prevent the termination of the artifical creatures. She was ironically killed by the mosasaur with the destruction of the underwater lagooon facitlity. This game both respects movie and book continuity pretty well but connonicity is dependent. Then you have the split timeline. Technically, Jurrasic World starts one timeline in the movies. The book differs from the movie a lot more than the first do so you could consider the first movie and book to be afaptions of the same cannon that splits at the sequals or two seperate timelines themselves. Then you add the Jurrasic World timeline which further splits off after the firet book. All if these are large enough to be considered likley as potential alternate cannons. THEN you have the supporting media. The novelizations are mostly stuck close to the movies. The comics typically do as well but depending on the run, go many alternate directions. The first main commic line that acted as a continuation for the first movie contradicts most other movies, adding another potentail comic cannon timeline. Im fairly certian these covered the lagoon/and or aquatic attractions of the origional park. You ALSO have the card series and toys which took artistic liberties with the story. They tended to mix detials of the book with the first movie. These too featured yhe aquatic attractions of JP to some degree but are much less likly to be considered cannon as they were mostly made up to sell the products woth less reguard tk the overal established story. We even got a Nedry fogure that look3d nothing like how he was described in any other media and was a living dino hunter so the toys/non-movie cards are mych less relaible.
See id like to say that telltale does lore well, i mean why would we just assume the main cast would meet every kind of dino on the island, the main cast stayed within the map of snes jurassic park so that being taken into account there were other characters exploring the other island, i bet yall didnt know "clever girl" guy actually survived the island so im willing to take most of telltale as cannon
Could it have been both? Considering how many icons there were, the lagoon may have been divided into multiple parts that would have allowed for different animals. It could very well be that part of the lagoon would have held a plesiosaur and another section would have been the mosasaur (possibly the tylosaur).

In the book (if its the same lagoon) the lagoon was just the start of a tributary to the river. Nothing in particular was there, it was just pasturing for the dinos. Maybe its a different lagoon though. It's been a couple of years since I read the book, so I might be misremembering.

@@truthhurts3305 I had to check the comments to make sure I wasn’t losing my mind because I was immediately like “Why do I feel uneasy all of a sudden!?” and then realized where I recognized the music from 😂
@ lol
Does anyone else wonder how they got this Jurassic Park aquatic dinosaur DNA ?
You sir are a real og thank u fr
No problem
Goated thumbnail
5:09 I like the zoom in on the plesiosaur image saying thats proof while completely ignoring the mosasaur above it. 😂
isn't the lagoon where the marine exhibit was (see jurassic park; the game made by telltale games.) (spoilers alert) for those who have played the Jurassic park game that was set after jurassic park 1 but before #2, still on isla nublar. it primarily circulated around a plot involving Dr Laura Sorkin, obtaining the shaving cream and evacuating survivors left behind...there were a few new dinosaurs seen in the game most notably the Troodon and Mosasaur (which was in the marine exhibit). JP Timeline:
JP 1 (Isla Nublar)
JP the Game (Isla Nublar)
JP 2 (Isla Sorna)
JP III (Isla Sorna)
Jurassic World (Isla Nublar)
JW Fallen Kingdom (Isla Nublar & Mainland)
JW Dominion (Mainland)
Using the Dino Crisis save room music is a definite plus.
Funny thing is, I’m actually Richard Kiely! Also, I’m reading this in my voice from the movie! I’ll see you all at SDCC!
Proof?
Im fine with Private proof being given.
@@0blacklightning046 All I can say is my death is 1999 was greatly over exaggerated! 😉
@@barbarossa1780 What was your favorite song you wrote?
Edit: There was only 1 famous Richard Kiley (not kiely) that died in 99.
In that case I’m the real thanos my death was also greatly over exaggerated
Love your video Shadows and keep up the great work you are awesome
Thank you so much 😁
@ShadowsLew No problem, and I can't wait for Jurassic Park survival
`The Dino Crisis music was a nice touch!

The RPD theme song from Resident Evil in Jurassic Park videos 🤣🤣🤣❤️
wtf is that picture from at 0:40 that’s terrifying lmao i had to go back a second to look at it
@@Damian.7. I’m pretty sure it is from one of the later Jurassic World movies
If i'm not mistaken, thats the mosasaur
@@Damian.7. It’s the mosa
Have you not seen this he opening to jwfk?
It’s from Jurassic World fallen Kindom. Look up intro scene.
I would've assumed it had to do with the river chase scene that was completely cut from the script after being partially filmed. They already developed the ride at Universal Studios to be based on that scene so my guess is they were leaving it open to be featured in a sequel. (They were also developing a Jeep ride as a phase 2 expansion in the park but it never got built, pretty fitting.)
Nice vid♥️
I know what was in the lagoon and the thing owes me about tree fiddy!
Good lawd..Tree Fiddy..😂😂
hearing dino crisis music in this video was definitely a vibe lol
Scary stuff dude, something like resident evil but in dino crisis type of shyt
Amazing video.
Glad you enjoyed it
Drink everytime he says "marine facility "
I dun knooo f ths was gud idee 😵
My theory is there is a mausasaurus also. And that is the mausasaurus we see in jurassic world. They just caught it out of the lagoon then moved it to the tank.
Back when the og JP came out, in 1993, I got the big foldout board game as a bday gift.
That lagoon, and a decent sized lake are both on it, both in the North areas.
I still have it. It came with multiple raptors and a T-Rex figurine.
Very awesome video 😎
Thanks 😁
What if they had a massive water tank where the same white shark as in Jaws lived, however due to a park incident Jaw managed to get out to sea, or they choise to realise him.
The reason why they chose to breed a White shark was to test if they could handle having a Meg and they where planing to use White shark genes for Meg.
This was such a good video
Jeremy wade will defo be doing a river monsters episode 😂
Hi what's up love the content
In the BOOK, they devote a conversation about the power supply: InGen developed a geothermal power plant. It’s never brought up in the sequel book, however.
Love the use of Dino Crisis Music in this video :)
Love it keep it up 🎉
Thanks 💯
I always wondered, about the Richard Kiley bit...
Hopefully the new Jurassic Park movie will get into this. Definitely would be great!
I love your videos❤😊
Fun fact: they are not actually dinosaurs but instead creatures made to resemble dinosaurs
no sh%4 sherlock...that's the entire philosophy of the franchise...it's a film about dinosaurs that actually has no dinosaurs in it.
Yeah evan Wo said Noth in the park was natural
“What do you think was in the lagoon?” A missed opportunity, my dude. A missed opportunity.
Hello 👋 I’m new, and I have a quick question. How did INGEN acquire aquatic Dino DNA? We all know that land animals were acquired from mosquitoes, but how did they get the aquatic ones?
for those who played Jurassic park the game in 2011 on the ps3 or Xbox 360 there is actual scenes and footage of the black lagoon and these mosasaur like creatures in the game towards the end of it
Its terrifying to actually think about it. I step on a crab or flounder in the ocean and that kills going into the water for the rest of the summer.
Either the tylosaurus from JP the game, a megalodon they secretly made in the lab, plesiosaur or another specimen of mosasaurus
Am I going crazy, or do I hear Very quiet Dino Crisis OST Behind your voice? I believe I heard one the Safe Room OSTs... If so, Nice Touch. If Not. Totally Losing my Marbles, Dont mind me. And keep up the great work. Love your videos. We need better Jurassic Park Content. And more of it!
In the book (if its the same lagoon) the lagoon was just the start of a tributary to the river. Nothing in particular was there, it was just pasturing for the dinos. Maybe its a different lagoon though. It's been a couple of years since I read the book, so I might be misremembering.
I finally decided to watch camp Cretaceous and let me tell you..I would love more Jurassic world/park tv shows, animated or live action. Also an Until Dawn style butterfly effect Jurassic survival horror game
They should have added a scene at that facility it would have added more suspense to the movie
I would be so down for a Jurassic AquaticPark horror movie. Would be epic! Massive mollusks, Fish, Skrimp, Horrors…
