What annoys me about stealth in games, is that enemies will be in a camp full of living allies walking around, yet always react with suspicion to player footsteps...
It was actually a philosophical question "Is this the best you can do" he asked while he was dying as he remembered the words of his father as a child before he became a rouladside bandit. "Is that the best you can do in life?"
Feels like fighting in this game is 40% skill and 60% the absence of enemy AI. On my first playthrough when KC:D came out, I completly ignored the battle and was busy on looting as it was the first time I could get some real armoury.
Like immediately after you escape skalitz you end up in talmberg. Its a good place to get mid level gear at basically the start. Theres usually a guard sleeping somewhere that you can stealth kill or knock out easily at level one or two. Im actually still wearing the noble mail coif, noble hauberk, and aachen brigandine i took off him. His brigandine chausses and pauldrons carried until about main level 17, then i swapped them for better plate. Feel like it killed pacing a little for me in terms of gearing up, but it gave me some wiggle room to learn combat better. Unrelated note, i didnt get trained by sir radzig until almost 20 hours into my playthrough. It was at that moment i realise i had to take seriously the whole "youre a peasant, stop trying to be a badass. Go get some training." Thing
Kind of weird that I'm seeing this the day after I did it in my game. I did it at knight by luring 1-3 people away from the city at time, and making Assassinations on sleeping targets too. I wasn't as smooth as this, but the results were similar.
On my first playthrough, I was so weak I couldn't possibly kill the big guy. On my second playthrough, I've "scouted" the camp in endgame armor and on the way there, I've met a Talmberg patrol, which dropped halberd.. I think you all know how the scouting went on.
Turns out the peasant boy is a high functioning psychopath o.o I wonder if Radzig had anything to say about Pribyslavitz being all cleared out :D Hard to imagine they'd account for a metagaming madlad.
Wow perfect stealth gameplay. In my playthrought I just killed everyone with a bow, if you ran away with horse they just stare at you and you can pick em up one by one.
How. How the hell. I snuck into the little house at the side of the camp and used the disguise in the trunk and still got caught so many times. You just went in there bareback with no prep and it worked flawlessly
While it's strange and unnecessary to sleep with your helmet on, armour wasn't very uncomfortable to sleep in. And since they just took over this place and were likely expecting retaliation, it would be wise to remain armoured
@@KalilIllinois Sure, I could see that with gambeson especially and chainmail to an extent but I'm highly doubtful the plate and brigandine they wore from what I could tell would be any comfortable to sleep in. If they'd just moved into the area that'd make sense I suppose.

The raid on Pribyslavitz with Sir Radzig will still have just as many enemy soldiers, no matter how many you kill in this mission. The poisoning and burning arrows changes enemy numbers, though.
