I-no is the most honest character. She doesn't delude you into thinking she has a direct gameplan, she's honest about mixing you up even in her story lines, nothing is direct with best girl
Got to meet both peppery and apologyman at the tournament , they were super nice people , peppery is like thr chillest dude ever , also my man was grinding like crazy , in the venue he was always at a setup playing casuals or straight up in training mode , what a beast, bo bleis
I think Johnny and Elphelt have the similar approach of fun while not feeling entirely botched like Sin and Goldlewis on release (or extremely overtuned like Chaos and Asuka formerly). Being DLC characters also makes it pretty scary since they’re due for buffs (Johnny just got dash jump cancel and i definitely see him getting a dash cancel just a little different than gio and leo).
A lot of people said Johnny feels midtier because he’s too “normal” in comparison to the cast. They should give him dash block in strive and better MFC frames
I was hesitant on MFC buffs but when you watch high level play after a cancel it’s typically fake pressure or just returning to neutral. So I think it could get a little bit tuned. Sometimes the cancel is even punishable lol. Safe approach from arc sys.
Im with you Jiyuna, i want Gobou to show the world the Power of the Cubes. 1st it was Chaos, now It Asuka. Strive needs more Bullet Hell Characters so we can just turn Strive into a Shmup airplane shoot.
Johnny still feels like a huge WIP with players. Some do neutral control while others are heavy on mix, it’s weird lol. But they need more Johnny’s to evolve imo.
when discovering gg, rev 2 version. I tought to my self, this Johnny, so cool, voice on point, girl melting, pirate ship, this is going to be my main... later discovered that he was top tier mega SSS++, I had to drop him... and also because I was unable to git gud.
Dunno why pros be underestimating Johnny. He's easily top tier imo. His dash is a broken tool in Strive. Ppl think it's his biggest weakness but it ain't. It is so easy to side switch or just get out of the corner with his dash whenever the opponent is jumping, just dash under(one button side switch is good imo). Ppl who thinks he needs a dash block wants him to be broken in neutral. Him being able to jump cancel out of his dash now is all he needed. If I made a matchup chart. The only characters I'd say he struggles with (or I struggle with) would be May, Bedman and Faust. Sin and AxL beats him but it's still doable. I be chilling vs everyone else (as in, not afraid) He does require solid defense tho since he doesn't have DP but that's about it imo. His buttons are good enough to compete with the top tiers. Plus his guts is really good I think. I always seem to survive with a sliver of health a lot. I lied. His best tool. Is his misfiner air cancel. Suspends his fall in midair enough to catch opponent off gaurd coming down. High success rate
@@Alsry1 a player is not always prepared to air throw. Dash is one button. Less mental stack, opponent is automatically in the corner and u steal the turn. A one button side switch is good.
